I highly recommend checking out In Deadly Combat by Gottlob Bidermann if you're interested in reading about things from the other side. He was an officer in charge of a PAK gun at Sevastapol and later Leningrad. The things he describes... it's intense. And, of course, there's Black Edelweiß by Johann Voß, a rare look into the Waffen-SS and the Kareilian theatre of the war.
