At the end of the day second home ownership/airbnb/etc. has been displacing people from ski and tourist destination towns in the United States since the 1980s. This is nothing new. The only difference now is that everyone is pointing and screaming EnTiTlED TeCh WOrKeRs, and while many of them are, it's just a distraction from the ACTUAL problems of total greed and failure on the part of local officials and opportunistic developers.
