I have a couple of these breeder boxes and i found if you use this to disperse the water it makes a much smaller wave. Ive seen people do this with a foam cup with holes in it as well. I like to get my water ready at least a day in advance so that its room temperature and the salt can dissolve and everything. I add it in cupfuls first then I'll tip the bucket over if it's light enough, but i still try to pour slowly and i dont lean it against the glass. You never want to lean the bucket against the side of the tank if it's too heavy.
