All mine also said the same. Aparently it can be hit and miss though.

Try a dedicated HUB card, its going tro deliver more stable power and bandwidth compared to shared ports on the mobo.

That's the one I got it seems pretty bulletproof so far dedicated exclusively to the Quest 2.
My bad, the board itself is 20gb/s total, 10gb/s for 3 ports, 10gb/s for the dedicated port.
I edited the post to properly reflect that.
Here's the link, but the product now has one less USB-A port and one more USB-C port.

I can't make any specific recommendations since I haven't looked into USB expansion cards. However, it seems like your PC might be able to support a card like [this] as your motherboard has PCIe 2.0 slots and it needs one 4x slot to run.
They're so generic and basic I don't think there is a "suggested" one. Just find one for $20-30 with good reviews honestly if all you need is usb 3.0 ports.
if you need faster ports, something like this is a better shot: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M5YHWFD/ref=emc_b_5_t?th=1
Update: It seems that it's my USB for some reason. I have tried it on another computer without any audio issues. Seems some forums are pointing to a dedicated PCI-e USB. Going to give this a try: Amazon.com: Inateck PCIe to USB 3.2 Gen 2 Card with 20 Gbps Bandwidth, 3 USB Type-A and 2 USB Type-C Ports, KU5211, Red: Computers & Accessories
I have tested many many cards, heres the only one I found to reliably charge (on USB C)

This is the only one I could find that worked right.
I believe technically you can't do thunderbolt because it has to be integrated on the motherboard with direct access to the CPU.
You can get a USB 3.2 PCIe card though.
I'd instead recommend a PCI-e USB expansion card. Get some additional ports and controllers to go with them, so you don't bottleneck speeds!

This one I can confirm will charge the VR... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M5YHWFD?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
There are others that will work with basic usb slots just fine but getting them to charge VR can be tricky.
Can confirm this works.... holds my VR within 1-5% for multiple hours.

Can confirm this does NOT work well... (at least for holding a charge, just connection only)

Which Inateck card did you try? We've tested our USB 3.2 PCIe card like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08M5YHWFD. It works with Rift S perfectly. If you have any problem while using the Inateck card, just feel free to contact customer support for help.
If you want to try to use a type C cable, try this USB card: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M5YHWFD/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_NTQ7NFFYNTF941A0CWEK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This worked great for me but any USB 3.2 card should work.
Here, this took me forever to find (Tried 9 pcie cards).

Only tested the USB C ports. Holds my quest at 80% just fine.
Oddly, it seems my link dropped off - there was supposed to be a link after.
