it should make no difference as it is below the air filter. if you really wanted to replace it you could use Install Bay 89-00-9031 ABS Plastic 12 X 12 X 1/8-Inch and just caulk or rivet it on
No that's scored for making speaker mounts. Just get some simple ABS plastic. I'm not sure how thick it should be. ABS is pretty strong so I think an 1/8 inch should be fine but I would get a second opinion for thickness just to be sure.
