A 100W cable preferably, just know you're not going to get 100W (and therefore the max performance) out of anything but the included charger plugged directly into the laptop because it's not USB-PD (it actually gets 100W the same way an old style DC charger works, and the chance of that working through a dock is basically 0). If you want that while docked you'll either have to plug the charger into the laptop or get the XG Mobile (which has 100W output).
This cable's expensive, but it'll work. Doesn't necessarily have to be Thunderbolt but it's not necessarily a bad idea if you're getting a cable for a Thunderbolt dock that doesn't come with one.

Hey I actually bought a very expensive Anker cable and it's not working...are you seeing any reason that this cable shouldn't work
So I have a lower res Dell ultra wide monitor that is USB-C. It has a few other USB ports on the back. A couple A and a B. I have the wireless transmitter for my mouse plugged into 1 port and a Schitt DAC plugged into the other. I use plug the USB-c into my surface book 2 and it provides power to it and acts like a usb hub (usb 2 I believe). Also sends the display output to monitor at 60hz. That is on the crappy usb gen 3.1 in the surface book 2.
I still have to plug the surface book into the wall because Microsoft’s crappy power management and crappy implementation of USB in that model only allows it to draw maybe 65 watts from the monitor which isn’t enough and causes it to lose connection.
My company runs Dell laptops with thunderbolt connections on everything else. We have wireless keyboards and mouses plugged into the back of all the ultrawides around the office so people can just sit down wherever with their laptop, plug in with a single 18 in USB-c cable for power, display, keyboard and mouse and get to work. It’s super clean and flexible.
If you are having problems, I would check the specs on your USB-C cable, there are different kinds and they definitely have different capabilities (I don’t recall the various names, maybe ultra speed or 40 gbps or something like that), but oftentimes that is the culprit. Try a more expensive, higher spec’d cable off Amazon. Maybe something like this? There are probably cheaper or thunderbolt 4.
Yeah, he can provide power. I have 2 external monitor. Can I connect in each USB-C? Don’t overpower my computer?
I have 5500 8 Go I think in my model.
This cable is fine: Anker Câble Thunderbolt 3 USB-C vers USB-C (50 cm) Compatible MacBook Pro, MacBook 2016, Google Pixel, Nexus 6P, Huawei Matebook et Autres https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B076D76DRQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_TNTM8KA2ZH0X0K9VF809?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Do I need to buy 2 cables? That solves my issue?
Use a USB-C to USB-C cable that is rated to USB3 or USB3.1 speeds - the one that Samsung provides in most markets is primarily for charging and only does USB2. You can also use something like this (which in fact you can use for much more).
Remember that (while the phone probably has USB 3) the stock cable from Samsung is only USB 2 and the difference is HUGE. Look into a cable like this - https://www.amazon.com/Certified-Anker-Thunderbolt-Supports-Compatible/dp/B076D76DRQ/ - it will outlast your phone and could be used for a lot of things for a lot of time to come.
My full backups are around 40 GB at the moment and that can take some time but it always seems to finish fine in less than 20-30minutes (to a very fast internal SSD in my MBP16) - in theory it should take a LOT less than that, but it seems that there are a lot of very small files rather than big files, and that significantly impacts the optimal use of the USB 3 bandwidth.
hey which cable do you use? do you have the amazon link for the cable you are using?
I am planning to get this

The thunderbolt 3 cable you listed should be enough. If you already have that cable and it isn't working, that's rough. If you don't have a thunderbolt 3 cable yet, that probably will solve your issue. https://www.amazon.com/Certified-Anker-Thunderbolt-Supports-Compatible/dp/B076D76DRQ/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=anker+thunderbolt+cable&qid=1638383155&sr=8-5
Is the one that I would buy, just because I trust Anker on Amazon more than Belkin.
I wish I could help you more, but I have a docking station for my laptop so I just use HDMI and usb A to C for the laptop. I use a standard cheap a to c data cable.
My gaming/home computer uses the A to B 3.0 cable (included with the monitor) and display port.

Did you try swapping around settings in the Bios at all? If you have access you might be able to select thunderbolt or other USB related options.
No. You’d want something like this:
Or if you want to splurge:
Annoyingly, they don’t tend to specifically mention video, they usually mention throughout. I’ve picked up a couple of these - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Thunderbolt-Charging-Transfer-Compatible/dp/B076D76DRQ
Should be perfectly fine to uae TB3 for everything, delivers power just fine to your devices. I personally use a whole bunch of these for my setup https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B076D76DRQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_iwznFb1802F5M
You need a USB-C 3.1 or Thunderbolt 3 cable like one of these...
