I suggest this book. It contains many useful linear algebra examples and MATLAB example codes.
I empathize, as I was (am) in the same boat. Mathematics is pretty broad but it looks like you're mostly focusing on the more calculus-y type stuff, so I'd recommend the following books:
Introduction to Scientific Computing
The above all have code to help in their understanding.
As an aside, Yap's book on "Fundamental Algorithms of Algorithmic Algebra" is the book where I really started to understand mathematics.
