Could be worse. A dead pixel on e-ink devices results in a permanent line on the screen starting from the dead pixel, running to the edge of the display. I've got a Tribby with that problem on its e-ink display (a Tribby is an Alexa enabled portable smart speaker).
Well, I have another option then. You can add either a bluetooth receiver or ChromeCast Audio, or some Airplay receiver like an Airport Express to it and have all of the functionality of the SuperConnect for way less money, seller is in the US, etc. If this had been availible when I bought my SuperConnect (trust me, I looked around forever and it popped up after I bought it and had it all set up), I wouldn't have bought it. Hell, I was contemplating selling it at a little bit of a loss and buying the G2 they were selling, but they ran out of stock.
I almost forgot about this, it's actually made for the kitchen and has some neat features on top of it. Shame I forgot about it, woot had a deal for it the other day for just $80.
