Potassium iodide pills are pretty cheap and they last for years if they’re unopened.
I’d say spent the $20 or so for the peace of mind.
Then explain what this product does? It literally says “blocks radiation for emergency use only”.
I feel snooty saying this, but like you said the hardest part is obtaining the potassium iodide and even that you can buy on Amazon.
