I use this: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00LKYW6M0/
It works... OK. If you apply it for 3 nights in a row, the oleophobic layer can last for ~3 months - then you have to reapply it.
One thing I noticed, is that sweat absolutely destroys the coating (maybe from salt?). I stopped carrying my phone with display facing my leg, and the coating is lasting for much longer.
Get this one https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Tempered-Protector-designed-Friendly/dp/B08DQT3F3C It's good quality and very easy to install as long as you clean the screen thoroughly. I also recommend a can of air duster to give the screen a little blow after cleaning before installing.
If possible, do it yourself with this:

Mine didn’t scratch. If you don’t like the tool I suppose you don’t have to use it.
I always get the otter box defender cases for my iphones. And this is the screen protector that was recommended to me: Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector [Glas.tR EZ Fit] designed for iPhone 12 (2020) / iPhone 12 Pro (2020) [Case Friendly] - 2 Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DQT3F3C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_NeEIFbXYE4DZE haven’t used them before so we’ll see
The IMBZBK (based on personal experience confirmed by reports) and Whitestone Dome (based on reports) are two first-rate, curved tempered glass screen protectors for the Pixel 7 Pro. Both use a liquid optical clear adhesive (LOCA) and UV-curing. The main differences appear to be:
1. IMBZBK is $5, or 12.5%, less expensive than Whitestone.
2. Whitestone includes a more useful to some, because clear, rear camera protector. (I myself am not using the IMBZBK rear camera protector.)
3. IMBZBK includes three screen protectors; Whitestone only two. (For people seeking to protect more than one P7P, this can increase dramatically the cost-saving from using IMBZBK.)
4. Installing IMBZBK may be somewhat less prone to user error (based on my watching several YouTube videos; I have no personal experience with Whitestone).
5. Whitestone has a longer track record, which may provide greater confidence when considering spending c. 2.5-4 times more than on most (often less satisfactory) screen protectors.
Exact product i used is below, there was not a shatter risk for the protector. Biggest risk for my install was having the the screen protector stick to its "sheet". Hard to descibe until you review the process. I believe the same happens in the video, I'll post as the next comment.

I've been using this. tedious install but it comes out perfect and you can register the protector for an extra protector from the company. so 3 total for 40$
Here you go in case you want to try it:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RYXF8F6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_W1WCX5X82BAE4ZD8X2Q4
I have received up to 4 free replacements even though they say only two. I know I I am bad with phones. So in the end I received 6 in total for $40. It also comes with two in the pack. Once you go UV you never go back. It looks harder than it is. Just watch sakitecks vids in youtube to see if you feel comfortable doing it. Good Luck.
This AmFilm works fantastic if you follow directions. No problems with fingerprint scanner.
I'm guessing you're not US since the US ultra's didn't seem to come with the screen protector
I've had this case since I got my 2XL about 3 years ago. It's been great. Between this case and a few of these screen protectors, the phone has survived being dropped several times (onto tile / concrete). When I take the phone out of the case, it's in perfect shape and could still pass for brand new.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DQT3F3C?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
can’t recommend these more ! so easy to install, you don’t even have to touch the screen protector, no risk of smudging, comes with 2, and fits perfectly
FWIW, looks exactly like this product on Amazon for $13 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075WW69PS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_q0iJAbT19N777
Using one now. Has the dot matrix but doesn't bother me. My biggest complaint is dust/pocket lint has seeped underneath after installation.
Definitely looks like the Oleophobic coating has worn off. You can reapply it yourself if you'd like- about $20 on amazon, will last basically forever. Works on phones too. https://www.amazon.com/Crystal-Armor-Fingerprint-Oleophobic-Coating/dp/B00LKYW6M0
I got mine used and it was pretty shot, light scratches etc. I bought that little dropper of oloephobic coating stuff off amazon and applied it a couple nights in a row, and it worked pretty well. I also tried Smitty’s glass wax, but saw no difference.
The stuff I mentioned isn’t magic but it does work pretty well. Definitely worth trying. Gotta keep applying, since it’s temporary, but they only give you a tiny amount.
Just got mine as well, you're definitely going to need a curved screen protector. I'm trying this one it's okay so far. There's some cheap $10 clear cases on Amazon as well
I've bought multiple of these tempered glass screen protectors on Amazon and use them along with a phone case. The screen still has the same feel and responsiveness.
They hold up really well against cracking during everyday use and normal drops and falls. The only minor problem I've had is that dust can occasionally work its way under the protector, leaving tiny little spots (but that's on a phone that is constantly in a very dusty environment). I dropped my phone screen side down on dirt/gravel and accidentally stepped on it. The screen protector shattered of course, but my phone was perfectly fine with not a scratch on the actual screen.
The suggested other options on Amazon from your first link include one I've purchased.
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B075WW69PS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_kCM3CbQJS17RY
I have only needed 2 so far and they work well. Current one is going almost a year.
I've blasted through so many Zagg invisashield ones, and they are a hassle to submit for a replacement, don't stick, and break easily. Stay the fuck away from those.
The one time I went without, I noticed micro scratches in sunlight and it drove me crazy. Fortunately, that unit had an issue and it was replaced under AppleCare warranty. I've never gone without a screen protector since.
On my 11 Pro I have a crack in my protector. I have no idea how it got there. Maybe I accidentally mixed it with keys once or something, I don't know. But what's great is that I can just replace the protector and good as new.
I have AppleCare so I'm not afraid of breaking it. Likewise, this new ceramic screen is supposed to be stronger so no worries. I just don't want to have to live with a small scratch or micro scratch. I like knowing I can wipe the screen clean without worrying about scratching it with grit or sand or something when I go to the beach, camping, hiking, etc.
https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Tempered-Protector-designed-Friendly/dp/B08DQT3F3C/ are inexpensive and extremely easy to install.
FYI, I saw someone say that they used this kit to refresh their oleophobic layer. I can't speak from firsthand experience though.
https://www.amazon.com/Crystal-Armor-Fingerprint-Oleophobic-Coating/dp/B00LKYW6M0/
It's far from perfect, but it's the first one that didn't fall off 3-5 days later..
I also use it with the rhinoshield crashguard, so case usage will vary.
had my doubts about the IMBZBK, but their product is well made and service is great. application was easy and protector is still on nice and tight! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088QCGY2K/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I suggest distinguishing by phone. For example, I'm enjoying great success on my P7P with the IMBZBK curved, tempered glass screen protector, after returning as unsatisfactory the AACL hybrid film screen protector. OTOH, my wife has had some unsatisfactory tgsps on her P7, including the LK, TOCOL, and Sparin. We're about to try the IMBZBK version for the P7.
I'm very pleased with IMBZBK. Indeed, it's a steal at its currently reduced price of $27.99.
This was my first LOCA install, so I was concerned about potential pitfalls and hesitated to spend the money. In the event, after watching their installation video several times, including during the install, I found the process straightforward. Having also watched some Whitestone-related videos, I think IMBZBK has less chance for user error. Among other things, IMBZBK include a bubble level in the installation frame, which helps assure that you're installing on a level surface. Inserts in the frame also protect against glue going where it shouldn't. In my case, moreover, the glue did not overrun the screen.
In use, after three weeks of use, the IMBZBK is clear, smooth, and sensitive. Indeed, after a few days of use, I turned off the screen protector mode option in settings as unneeded.
As u/Villag3Idiot noted, some gap is necessary if you want to use a case. I'm very pleased with the IMBZBK, a tempered-glass protector installed using LOCA (liquid optically clear adhesive). Amazon now is selling it for $27.99, which is $7 less than I paid three weeks ago. The IMBZBK works well with my Zagg Gear4 Crystal Palace case. (I've linked to the Zagg webpage because you may qualify for 20% off.)
I would not say that the sides/edges of the IMBZBK are sticky or attract dust/lint/etc./ Indeed, although I now see a small amount of detritus, it's only because your post prompted me to look for it.
I'm really happy with this one. It takes a little time to do but just follow the directions and its seamless with the Spigen case. The only thing is the protector for the camera bar is crap but the Spigen case does a good job of protecting the camera bar on its own. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088QCGY2K?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details
I found a great glass screen protector. Works perfectly. I recommend purchasing one. Here's the link for u and others who have been looking.
IMBZBK [3+3 Pack] UV for Google... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088QCGY2K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I bought the TPU kind that feels like Ghost Armor. You clip a little hook thing into your USB port, and you pull a rubbery sheet over your screen, and it curves with the glass.
Double bonus points because it's practically impossible to leave fingerprint smudges on your screen, and it works perfectly with the in-screen fingerprint reader.
This link is for the P6P, not the 7, so you may need to do some digging, but I haven't had a single problem with this protector in over four months:
https://www.amazon.com/Google-Pixel-Pro-Fingerprint-Bubble-Free/dp/B09CZ8BMHD/ref=sr_1_1?crid=29G09JBWN3C9L&keywords=LK+Designed+for+Google+Pixel+7+Pro+Flexible+TPU+Film+Screen+Protector&qid=1666998593&sprefix=lk+designed+for+google+pixel+pro+flexible+tpu+film+screen+protector%2Caps%2C130&sr=8-1
Just wanna make sure this is the same one? Looks like they rebranded the Xiaomi screen protector to the P7P. But it's $90 in Canada...
If you don't go the Zagg warranty replacement route, I've had great success with the IMBZBK tempered glass screen protector. It's similar in concept to, but $5 less than, the Whitestone Dome. For me, using it over a week now, I've found it clear, smooth, and sensitive. Indeed, just recently I turned off screen protector mode. It also fits well with my Zagg Gear4 Crystal Palace clear case.
I've had great success with my installation of the IMBZBK. It's similar in concept to the Whitestone, but $5 less expensive. Even though it was my first LOCA installation, and first time with UV-curing, viewing the instructional video several times, both beforehand and during the installation, enabled me to install the screen protector without a hitch. (And now I think I could do this type of install again without a problem.)
The result is a protector that is smooth, clear, and doesn't interfere with fingerprint recognition. Indeed, after a week using the IMBZBK protector I turned off screen protector mode as unnecessary. Of course, YMMV.
A UV glued tempered glass protector installed correctly is nearly impossible to tell it is even installed. Highly recommend the one below.

It looks pretty promising from the reviews. Honestly, I would say the price is fair. You're getting 3 screen protectors for ~$35. The only "downside" about this screen protector is that it doesn't seem like the easiest to install. Mine is arriving tomorrow. I'm pretty busy so I might not get to installing it during the weekend. I'll be sure to leave some post installation thoughts.
I feel your pain. Obviously a lesson learned but Whitestone should offer a UV light regardless. I can't stand that company. I ordered a full kit a while back that came to just over 50 bucks and I only had one protector in the box. Called them out on it and they sent a new one and charged me 34 bucks for shipping. They said it was for stocking fees and shipping on a guaranteed product. They are a bunch of crooks.
The most I've ever paid on a warranty fee was from OtterBox and it was 5 bucks that they waived anyway.
Don't sweat it shit happens.
Try these next time just as good and much more reasonable.
👍✌️
Remove it sooner rather than later, at this point it's doing more harm than good. If you want peace of mind with a new screen protector I recommend this one. Be patient and apply it carefully and it'll last even longer than the stock one - mine has.
This one is just like the whitestone but is a much more reasonable price for 3 and is available on prime. I have it on my phone and it's perfect. It covers the front camera but has no discernable effect on the quality. Fingerprint and face unlock work just as well as before (I didn't use the metal finger print weight during install either). It fits perfect. I really have to look at the edges for a couple seconds to even spot that it's there and I can't feel a difference in sliding my finger either.

I am actually using this screen protector on my 7 Pro. It is great! Installation was easy, the texture is good and the fingerprint scanner is just as fast as without the screen protector.
I went with this screen protector - sketchy reviews because they're from a different product but it works flawlessly for me at least. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088QCGY2K?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Put a tempered glass protector on it. This one is great and the oleophobic coating is amazing because I feel like my screen is always clean

I pre-ordered the Whitestone, but in the meantime, there is this LOCA style protector on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088QCGY2K
I installed it and have been happy so far. I'll probably keep it on until it gets chipped/cracked, then install the Whitestone to compare.
This tempered glass glass protector by IMBZBK is really good. There's a thread about it somewhere on this subreddit.
Here's how it looks with my P7P and Ringke Fusion case. Loving the combo.
Thanks for the info! I ended up ordering the IMBZBK version because the White Dome is in pre-order. I really liked the IMBZBK non-glass screen protector for the Pixel 6 Pro so I'll take a shot on their LOCA glass version. It's three pieces for $35. I couldn't wrap my mind around $50 for two pieces but three for $35 is better because, well, I always mess up the first screen protector during installation, I drop my phone a lot, and the protector might come off. Anyway, you guys are right: I'm better off investing now than crying later. Thanks for your advice! If the IMBZBK doesn't pan out, I'll return it and get the White Dome when it's back in stock.
I'm using thia one on my P7P. The entire kit is high quality and has all the tools needed for easy installation. I've used other LOCA tempered glass ones on P6P and this has been by far the easiest installation. So far no issues with selfie camera, fingerprint sensor or screen sensitivity
This one works amazing. You get three of them too. Finger print works amazing.
The instructions tell you to use the little weight over the fingerprint scanner, but that is NOT necessary, it's only necessary for ultra sonic scanners.
Other brands I have used have specifically pointed this out.
Did not use the weight, scanner works amazing.
I mention this because if you use the weight you can end up with a round spot on the screen that looks different from the rest after the install is finished.
I bought this one that has the guide to install it and the UV light and everything. It was the easiest one I've done so far. Everything seems to be working without issues.
I just got my phone and installed the one I purchased since some of the other more popular ones aren't yet available. It was honestly the easiest tempered glass and LOCA protector installation ever. The kit is well worth it and it comes with 3 of them plus so far no issues with the fingerprint sensor and it covers the entire screen. No holes
I got a cheap one just to test something, and the oleophobic coating was actually pretty good. Not as good as the naked screen, but miles better than whatever they put on the P4XL for example.
I really like this protector: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B09LDF5C84
Watch the video first. It looks intimidating, but it turns out that it is easier to apply than any other protector that I have ever had. The UV-cured glue can make up for a lot of mistakes.
Be aware though that this is a curved protector. Not all cases are compatible with that.
Yeah no worries! I don't think this one says anything about other than glass either, but I could be wrong. Its working great, I even put in on the track pad and the fingerprint key. Its a very light coating that drys instantly and has no discernible effect on the finish. Link
This one, which I've recommended before. It seems to be sold under many different names, but this is the one I and my spouse are using.
I used this whitestone dome(https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LV4WKCM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) screen protector. Costs a bit more, but it came with a rigid plastic guide that guarantees you put the screen protector on accurately. If you do it in a steamy room to weigh down the dust, it works out great. I'm very happy with how mine came out.
I took off my screen protector as well, then I ordered whitestone, I was worried that it will not work with my fold3, but surprisingly it was almost same as the original or maybe better, you just need to apply it correctly and follow the instructions from their how-to video. I order this one:-

good luck.
The film screen protectors are junk. You will never get a good scan. Use a curved glass.
I use this and it is fantastic
[3+2 Pack] for Google Pixel 6 Pro... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LDF5C84?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I grabbed these (cheap) and they've worked well since launch. No issues with fingerprint reader.
I would normally go with tempered glass but that's not possible with the curves on the Pixel 6 Pro. It went on easy with no bubbles. I'm still using the first one and I do see some scratches so I may slap on the second one soon.
I went naked for about 2 weeks and then bought this screen protector. A bit finicky but the applicator device/holder thing got it on evenly. Looks as good as the original screen protector out of the box. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09LV4WKCM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Reviews are middling but seems to be just from people who weren't careful enough and messed up the application process.
I would HIGHLY Suggest you NOT go naked.
Less than $20 and you can get the Whitestone Dome Film.
https://smile.amazon.com/Whitestone-Premium-folding-Protector-Anti-Bubble/dp/B09LV4WKCM
This is sticker, feel the same and attracts LESS fingerprints and Dust. I have had it for MONTHS and NO ISSUES AT ALL... I have installed a total of 5 of these on 5 different Fold 3's and NONE HAVE ISSUES. Even when 2 of the owners work outdoors at construction sites without issues.
I'm typically a fan of glass, but with all the issues I heard about I decided to go for TPU. It's pretty cheap so I figured I'd give it a shot. I installed it 2 days ago and am very happy with it. It looks/feels great, and everything works.
It's from IMBZBK - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FHPCW5S?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I actually kinda hate film protectors. My 6 Pro came with one and I really hated it, hated the feeling and hated how it came apart at the curved ends of the phone.
I got the following from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/IMBZBK-Google-Pixel-Pro-Installation/dp/B09FHPCW5S The installation was pretty easy and fool proof - but the best thing is the feeling. It feels like glass!!! I switched to Pixel from an iPhone and got so used to years of using glass protectors that the film annoyed me so much, but now I can hardly feel the difference between this and the actual screen.
Oh and on top of that, it improved the fingerprint scanner. I don't event remember the last time it failed since I switched.
For what it's worth, my screen protector started to come off a few months ago and I ended up switching to the Whitestone Dome Film one. (Amazon Link)
Other than having to buy a second after I messed up the first install (don't accidentally touch the sticky side!), it's worked great so far. Feels marginally better than the original too.
Mine and my wife's did the same thing. Hers actually started slitting bad too. I replaced both with a Whitestone dome. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LV4WKCM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Looks and feels like factory so far. It's been about 2 weeks.
There are a couple of videos on how to install from YouTube I recommend you watch because Whitestone has zero instructions, but it was very simple.
The screen shouldn't crack without the protector. If anything, people have theorized that cracking is more likely with a protector (the protector, adding thickness to the screen, causes more pressure during folding; I don't buy that argument, but it's what some people have suggested).
IMHO, I'd leave the protector as-is for now since you've gone this long with it, but order a Whitestone (the PET one with the installation rig, not the cheaper EPU one) and pull off the current protector and replace it once you have the new one in hand.
Watch some installation videos and get this: https://smile.amazon.com/Whitestone-Premium-folding-Protector-Anti-Bubble/dp/B09LV4WKCM
Under $20 and will fix this issue for good. :)
I would NOT go without one on the inner screen.
Get this one: https://smile.amazon.com/Whitestone-Premium-folding-Protector-Anti-Bubble/dp/B09LV4WKCM
Under $20 and feels a buttery smooth as the factory one, has stronger adhesive, resists dust and fingerprints better and easy to install if you take the proper care and time with it. Watch a few install videos before you try and you should be fine.
Outer one, it's Victus, so it's the latest in Gorilla Glass, so that is your call.
Whitestone Dome Film. It has the same feel as the factory (PET), better adhesive and better at resisting dust and fingerprints. Under $20. Watch some videos on installation before going for it. It's not hard if you take the proper care and time to install.

Get the Whitestone Dome PET Film (https://smile.amazon.com/Whitestone-Premium-folding-Protector-Anti-Bubble/dp/B09LV4WKCM) for under $20 and be done with this mess. The ones that they install from the factory are crap. :(
Replace BOTH if you are having any issues with the factory installed ones. Whitestone Dome for both. The outer one is more expensive and may not need once as nice as this (as in, most any other protector will work if you want to go that route).
The INNER one, use the Whitestone Dome PET Film (https://smile.amazon.com/Whitestone-Premium-folding-Protector-Anti-Bubble/dp/B09LV4WKCM) and you will be set up just fine.
You mean with the curved glass? If you don't buy a tempered glass one then it's fine. Tempered glass is great but on a phone with a curved glass display, they tend to lift off and more importantly crack easier because the glass is more susceptible to impact with a case on IMO. Sure your display is always safe but I was replacing them every few months on my last phone with a tempered protector. Then I went without for a while but was scratching it, so then I got a TPU film one and that was perfect. It made scratches much less visible, never lifted off, and the new ones feel smoother than glass.
I use this one, only the display portion. Not the camera portion. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FHPCW5S/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_dl_RJ8BCPES373MA46DZKW7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Get this one, i got it and it was super easy to apply as it comes with plastic template and price is good.
I use the Mowei screen protector. It's the same installation process as the Whitestone Dome glass, and much easier. I prefer this due to no camera cutout. Front facing looks so much cleaner..
I would take a look at the link that u=Weird-Ambassador-649 posted. Those are for the P6Pro and are TPU. Might be worth a shot for $12.00.

I am not sure if there is a difference between the pixel 6 and 6 pro fingerprint sensor, but my wife has a notoriously bad time with the back of the phone sensor on the pixel 4, 5a, and really almost every fingerprint sensor. The 6 pro is the only sensor that has worked for her consistently.
We are using these screen protectors https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CZ8BMHD?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
The front one is just plastic for the pro because of the curved screen, but we didn't have to turn on screen sensitivity or anything. The one thing we do that might contribute to it being better is that we both have muscle memory for "force touch" on apple trackpads. When I scan my fingerprint I think I treat it like a force touch. i.e. touch it, then 'click' the finger in a second time. For us, it's rare that it misses.

While it's not glass which generally is a pain in the ass with curved screens this one works very well for me. Very easy to fit, good value for 2, comes with a protector for the camera bump too. Works fantastic with my official Google case, no catching or lifting anywhere. Should last a long time

Use this. It's great, it comes with an easy install kit, got no bubbles first try, feels and looks great.

I am using this one and I dropped my phone like 3-4 times a week cause of my butter fingers. The smoothness is almost the same since I applied it. No issues with fingerprint sensor (have to redo the fingerprint register after installing). The other off brand screen protectors without UV glue are pretty bad in general.

LK on Amazon. Came recommended from some Pixel thread I ran across. I didn't use the camera protectors. The install was easy, but be careful how hard you press with the squeegee thing. I accidentally pressed a couple of creases. Can't usually see them, except with the phone off.

i got these when i got my iphone ive replaced the screen protector once since because my dumbass kept peeling back a edge subconsciously one day. i like these because the applicator it comes with makes it effortless to perfectly center the screen protector from edge to edge and if you anal and ocd like me that shit matters i look at it all the time if its 1mm more to the right i notice it and it makes me angry lol.
This is happening to so many people at exactly the same time that I have to assume it's either directly related to seasonal temp/humidity changes, or the adhesive only lasts for 230 days on average. Just ordered one of these per recommendations in another thread, going to get Geek Squad to install it because my hands are way too shaky lol https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LV4WKCM?psc=1&smid=AR9FNVXZMFHKA&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp
I have the same problem. I'm thinking of buying this. I'll first ask some repair shops if they can do anything without replacing glass or adding a screen protector to hide it.
Just to check, you can clean the screen to the point that the damage is completely invisible, but as soon as you smudge the screen, the damaged area is dirtier than the rest right?
IMBZBK Designed for Google Pixel... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FHPCW5S?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I have always used tempered glass screen protectors in the past but with the Pixel 6 pro and its curved edges I was less than happy with what was out there on the market. Really happy so far with this screen protector. It has a unique guide for the installation that plugs into the USB port and aligns the screen protector really well. Probably one of the easiest and most flawless installations I have encountered with any of my phones.
