The doors in my apt are ADA accessible, so they are wider than normal. This one worked for me amazon link
It was called IkonFitness when I bought it, but is the same image. It is a bit pricey for a pullup bar, but it is very sturdy and requires no assembly. It fits doors to 36.2", which is what mine are.

So I bought this pull up bar on amazon but my door has no frame to support it. In the other Reddit post the person uses a wooden block and and scotch mounting tape to hold up the block and use that to support his pull up bar, which works.. But in my case I am wondering if I can use this instead of a wooden block to use as a support for my pull up bar. Mind you I would buy one with slotted holes, but my parents are renting the house so no drilling into wall for me.

Not a dumb question at all! If you're new to working out, and don't have any weights it equipment, I would recommend starting with a set of resistance bands. Most sets come with a door anchor, which you can use to simulate pullups. Granted, it's not as effective as the real thing, but it's a great place to start. Here's a decent set on Amazon.
That said, a lot of sets were snagged from Amazon when quarantine started, so feel free to look around.
While we're on the note of being a beginner, I'd also highly recommend checking out Mind Pump on YouTube. They have phenomenal videos on everything fitness related, and they take a simple, no BS approach. Simply said, the guys know their shit.
Here's a video on recommended resistance band movements.

All of that said, if you still want to go the pull up bar route, this one seems solid.
Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions!

I'm still a little confused, honestly, on the distinction between a door frame and a door way. Regardless, if you have a hole in your walls that you walk through, you can always toss up one of these without having to drill.
