I have Isotoner Compression gloves and my hands seem to like them a lot (seams on the outside is a big plus for me). They definitely help with the ache and offer some support, though I find them somewhat annoying. like they get in the way alot - taking them on and off to do messy things and they get hot and dirty and ugh. My personal preference is for ring splints for daytime, gloves for nighttime/lazy days.
I wear compression gloves anytime I'm not wearing ring splints (so for sleeping, lazing around, and bad pain days) and they definitely help with swelling and stiffness.
My OT hooked me up with these because seams out the outside is so much more comfortable on angry hands. My hands are tiny and the gloves are thin, so I find they fit easily under my regular gloves for going outside, and inside I sometimes use them with USB powered heated fingerless gloves (like these, when I'm spending a lot of time typing).
