Surely! So, when you go to install the faucet (link to install manual PDF), instead of screwing the faucet into the sink you just connect the hose to the faucet and lay the faucet down on the bottom of the cabinet. You could also maybe use a little hook or something on the side of the cabinet to hold it up. Kinda your call.
A TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) meter helps look at the content of minerals in the water. The more minerals in the water, the more likely the water will taste funny as well as being unhealthy. Prior to using the filter system I linked, the PPM (parts per million) of the water from the sink was extremely high (over 500!). After I installed the filter system, the PPM of the water was under 50. It was a noticeable different in taste, as well as when you freeze water (think ice cubes) that has a low mineral content, ice cubes come out crystal clear instead of cloudy. iSpring has a TDS meter on Amazon as well that's cheap and reliable.
