It's This Thing plus a tarp and washcloth. I soap up the washcloth, scrub nastiness, and off camera is a small metal can that holds about 2 liters of water. I sat on the arm rest and rinsed off. The tarp funnels out of the truck with the door slightly open and Ideally into a bucket but I only caught a little water--the rest is all down the curb. So, that'll take some adjusting. I have curtains on the window and a windshield screen. I have the curtain set up so that it blocks the little bit of sight from the door being ajar.
It all worked pretty well! My ass was sliding all over the tarp, but I managed Not to slide out butt ass naked onto the busy park field.
I have all the same methods, except I use one of these for water delivery.

Get one of those a big 5 gallon buckets, heat some water to temp on the stove, and use one of RV/camping/outdoor showerheads (something like this) when your shower's hot water runs out. Won't be infinitely long, but it might last you long enough for a full on cry. Maybe get a second bucket too lol
I built one… then I bought this it’s better and smaller in every way
A camp shower setup.
Needs: -Bucket(to store water but this can also pack into this for transporting) -Pop-up changing tent(to shower on) -Battery shower head - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IFHFJXI/ -A lantern stand or some other way to hold/hang the shower head. Could use some sort of hook in the tent possibly.
I also used a Zodi camp shower heater and circulated that into the bucket because the built in shower pressure is super weak but it looks like they’re way up in price now. Amazon has some other propane camp showers for around $150-200 that might be worth checking out. May not even need the battery powered shower head for those.
A common one on vans and trail cars and SUVs is a black ABS plastic tube mounted to the roof rack, fitted with a spigot as an outlet, and a bike tire valve in the fill cap to pressurize it.
Fill with water, the sun heats the black tube, you pump some pressure into it, and hook up your shower wand.
I personally use Planet Fitness in the city, but out boondocking I put a couple gallons in a big dry-bag, add a lot of near-boiling water in if it's cold, then drop a battery-powered pump in the bag:

I drop it in a 5 gallon bucket of water that I've let sit in the shower tent all day and it's plenty warm enough or I heat water on the stove to add to the bucket. I never go to bed dirty.
My Luggable Loo with the Double Doodie bags that have bio gel would be my other, must have.
Been using a small local gym-- but just bought this guy on Amazon. Hoping that boiling water with a bucket and this will get us by. I'm an ICU nurse so showering is non-negotiable 😫

I actually don't us the bags, I use a 5 gallon jug and have battery powered shower head like this

I skipped the sink altogether, and instead just mounted a 7 gal "Aquatainer" water cube just under the countertop, with a little cubby for a dish bin beneath it, and let gravity do the dispensing. Doggo does the dirty work on dishwashing, so all I'm really doing is sanitizing. For showers, I squirt a couple gallons into a dry bag, and use one of these.
Maybe this would work? It sucks water from the tub. https://www.amazon.com/Ivation-Portable-Outdoor-Battery-Powered/dp/B00IFHFJXI/ref=pd_sbs_121_4?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00IFHFJXI&pd_rd_r=1DEPEEN7QXS1345Y3WJN&pd_rd_w=Lvr0f&pd_rd_wg=EyArv&psc=1&refRID=1DEPEEN7QXS1345Y3WJN&am...
Get something like this. But, I think your space should be rented out as an office/ art studio/ or storage but not as accomadations, if guest can't take a shower there.
It runs off a USB so if you have a USB adapter that fits in the cigarette port, it'll charge.
Edit: Sorry, this isn't the one I have. Mine is similar.
Battery powered shower head and a 2 dollar bucket from walmart for showers. We used it everyday last year and our neighbors even asked us if they could pay us to use it. We also bought a little shower tent for some privacy.
I don't recommend the shower bags.. Buy this off of amazon..
Me and my crew used this last year and filled up buckets of water at the water stations. Its like an actual shower head but you need to charge the battery. We also had a small shower tent for some privacy. All our neighbors were jealous of our shower set up and were offering us money to use it. We also had one of the shower bags but it was a complete fail.
I bought this one... http://www.amazon.com/Ivation-Battery-Powered-Handheld-Portable-Shower/dp/B00IFHFJXI/ref=pd_sim_468_5?ie=UTF8&refRID=0250X150HBCYNX9752FV
Is not as fancy, but much cheaper and will get the job done. If you don't mind cold water then I recommend this one. The only downside is that you're gonna have to find a place to charge it one of the days, but other than that it was a great buy.
I just bought this after reading this thread haha
So there are places we can fill up a few 5 gallons buckets for the shower?
I'm planning on boiling a gallon of water on my propane stove per 5 gallon bucket for that nice warm morning shower post tent wake-n-bake hotbox
Add this and a bucket for more pressues
https://www.amazon.com/Ivation-Portable-Outdoor-Battery-Powered/dp/B00IFHFJXI - I've used this for a few years now. Great because you can basically use it in any water source, and the pressure is pretty comparable to a shower. In a 5 gallon bucket you get about 5 minutes of water. You can find it all over amazon and at walmart for ~$30
I have one of these that I keep on hand for water troubles.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IFHFJXI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_WB4KXHZS7PJB7CAVZVN7
I have a camp shower that's perfect for this. It's USB battery rechargeable, sucks up the hot water from your SV tub and showers you with the hot water.
https://www.amazon.com/Ivation-Portable-Outdoor-Battery-Powered/dp/B00IFHFJXI/
There are also these camping options such as portable shower heads which can pump water: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IFHFJXI
This was a game changer our 2nd year. I usually rinse off over grass to get the dirt off and then I stand in a dish washing bucket for the rest to get more use out of my water. My husband and both showered daily with this all on one charge.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IFHFJXI/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I personally didn’t find it too useful for our group of 18. Only 7-8 ended up using it. Went as far as to buy the shower head attachment for a more glamping type experience.
First problem is filling up water which may or may not be a line for that wait, especially in the mornings when others are also bringing their portable showers or kiddie pools to fill up.
Second problem is the water doesn’t last very long if you use the shower head attachment. It’s a nice luxury to have but carrying the water can be a bitch, especially when, with the attachment you only get three showers per fill. If you go without the attachment and just do this one you maybe get five showers per person. It does the job but never left me feeling truly clean. Wet wipe shower is only a notch or two below how I felt after that version of a camping shower.
man, 2 oale mari cu apa si un dus de camping cu baterii. Daca nu ai bani de dus, improvizezi din pompa de acvariu+furtun+cap de dus si iesi pe la 100 de lei.
It does heat the water, just pumps it to a shower head. I have 2.
The original https://www.amazon.com/Ivation-Portable-Outdoor-Battery-Powered/dp/B00IFHFJXI/ref=sr_1_6
The newer model I have tried yet. It has the battery and power switch on a separate cord which will be convenient so you don't have to pull pump out of the water to turn on and off. I turn on and off frequently while showering since it takes a while to shampoo and condition my hair. https://www.amazon.com/Ivation-Portable-Hands-Free-Rechargeable-Removable/dp/B07SY9J14X/ref=sr_1_14
Doesn't look like your shower is well suited for this. Easiest way is to get an enema kit. Get a big one, like this https://enemasupply.com/products/4-quart-enema-bag-kit Then you don't have to faff about with refilling mid session. You should add some salt to the water, otherwise you might get a bit woozy from water retention. This isn't rocket science, a teaspoon per liter should do, but you could probably be fine with a bit less or more than that.
If you don't dare to buy an enema kit, that's understandable (your life gets so much better when you stop giving a fuck, so I suggest working on it, though), but there are other options. I've made a huge enema bucket from a normal bucket with an aquarium water pump in it. Just drill a hole in the side, fit some tubing and make sure it's tight. These portable rechargeable showers are good for inflation: https://www.amazon.com/Ivation-Portable-Outdoor-Battery-Powered/dp/B00IFHFJXI Solar showers can fit a huge amount of water (20l-ish) and can be used as enema bags.
But my favorite makeshift inflation tool lately has to be the garden sprayer. Got it for less than 10 bucks on sale, it fits 5 liters (6 if you ignore the max fill line, which is fine), provides a gentle stream and pumping action. Can be used for both water and air. When it's out of water, but there's pressure left, it starts pumping air into you instead, which makes a lot of gurgling noises and can be a turn on in itself.
Anyway, all those macgyver solutions get much better with a good hose and some nozzles, which you get from the enema kit. So get that.
I recommend a USB powered shower. This is a popular one and the one I use:
https://smile.amazon.com/Ivation-Portable-Outdoor-Battery-Powered/dp/B00IFHFJXI/
I find this, in combination with a folding bucket on the ground, much easier to work with than trying to hoist a heavy bag full of water overhead. I've used solar showers in the past but getting the water up and overhead is always a pain.
You can heat the water in the bucket over the stove beforehand.
After fiddling with different backcountry shower options, I've come to really appreciate the value of a good truck stop or campground shower. All of the available camping options come with compromises. So my first line of defense is finding a public/paid shower every few days, and using wet wipes between showers. I only break this thing out as a backup option, to be honest.
USB shower can also be pretty handy at the beach for rinsing off sand.
In case you turn the hot water supply off and heat water on the stove for shower/dishes, this pump is a pretty good backup for this situation.

I imagine this one, doubt youll find one that heats for 35 bucks
I'm in Australia and it's hot right now, so I understand. Try a bucket of ice water and one these
Well OK, you specifically said no batteries, but one of my "luxury" preps is a battery operated shower head and a 5 gallon bucket. There are a lot of these but here's mine specifically:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IFHFJXI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I got this originally when my hot water heater whet out. The part was going to take a week to get here and This came from Amazon in a day, so yeah. For me, The ratio is about 2.5 quarts of boiled water and fill the rest with room temp water. (Obviously, you have to experiment a bit.)
I have added a valve like this to the system to extend shower times. If I was buying again, I'd probably buy something that had a lever or switch built in, although I'm happy with what I have.
I have used the sprayer for rinsing dishes when we've been under a boil water notice too.
I don't know what country you are in or your timeline, but this kind of gear is something you can get from China for a lot cheaper, if that works for you.

For the shower part I purchased a Portable Shower Head which I also used to wash dishes and then a 5 gallon collapsible bucket .
I warm up water on the stove and put it in the bucket. The tent has towel hangers, places to put clothes too. Also I feel like it’s a good size to get your business done.
This Camping Shower was a game changer in GA after 2 years without. Just need a bucket to go with and they sell collapsible ones on Amazon. We are super frugal where we stand over the bucket and reuse the water a bit to conserve (just do your first rinse off not over the bucket to get some of the grime off)

But if you want to go even cheaper I saw someone just using an old school watering can. Water didn't dump out quickly.

Also a camping mat like this one really brings your camp site together. and it feels so nice to take off your shoes and have a clean ground to stand on

And don't forget a table for your campsite. Trust me. No one wants to make food sitting on the ground. You will be surprised off often you really need a table to set something on. :)
Happy Forest. Wish I could be joining you all this year after 7 beautiful years.
For about $65, I went with a battery powered (usb-charged) Shower head and a privacy tent on amazon. I figure ill place it near the road so i dont spill into other's camping areas. It's a nice setup and i'm hoping to use it for many future Firefly festivals.
My plan is to use a shower pump like this:
Then boil some water on the stove, and mix it with room temp water and put enough in the floor of this to cover the pump:
... set up underneath the roof fan, with some velcro holding up a hula hoop holding up the shower curtain tucked inside the tub. Get a thing to stand on so my feet aren't soaking, attach the shower head to the hula hoop, put a cloth bag over the pump as a rudimentary filter... Voila, recirculating, hot shower, for as long as I want, for just a few gallons of water.
Bonus, the shower water can be used to wash your clothes if you separate it from your regular gray water.
I originally put a 7 gal Aqua-tainer in my current van, thinking I'd use it to store drinking and cooking water, and knowing at that time that I can take 2.5 gal showers. Over time, I realized not only that I don't drink that much darned water, but that I don't even like the taste of most water I was finding to fill up with, and would rather be drinking spring water purchased from the store, a gallon of which lasts me at least a week. So, I resolved to switch the Aqua-tainer's purposes strictly for washing things, particularly myself, and have found that I can squeeze 4 showers out of a fill-up if I put the unused water back when done.
To fill in why that's a thing, I have one of these that I got, being the simplest option I saw, figuring I'd get additional use out of it while kayak camping. Well, it's simply not worth bringing along on the kayak, and the pump end doesn't fit in the mouth of the Aqua-tainer. So, I fill a dry bag with water from the Aqua-tainer, then tote it around to the back, where I wedge open the doors with a PVC stick that acts as a shower curtain rod, and just clean up there, fully-naked as I would in a regular shower, at least when I'm out in the boonies, and situated >100' from a waterway, with plenty of green plants around to filter the grey water I'm dropping. If I were to buy that camp shower again today with the experience I have now, I'd go for the slightly different version of it like this. The pump end is smaller, and the switch is remote, so it could be semi-permanently installed in a cheap water jug, but is still portable enough to take on a larger-group camp outing away from the van.
That's in the boonies. By the beach, people rinse off in the parking lot all the time. I just keep swim trunks on and do my thing in full view, and nobody bats an eye. Anything in-between is a city with a Planet Fitness.
We have this one and it is amazing!
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IFHFJXI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and get a collapsible bucket to put the one end in.

But honestly last year I saw a girl taking a shower using a small watering can. That actually seemed even easier than my shower set up.
https://www.amazon.com/Ivation-Portable-Outdoor-Battery-Powered/dp/B00IFHFJXI/
Cheap, work perfect, and I just bring a 5 gallon water cooler of hot water that stays warm all day.
I've washed clothes in a regular old camping/boating dry bag for months at a time.
First things first: Wilderness Wash. It's the only soap I carry, and I use it for everything. It has replaced my normal body wash when not camping. I get the big bottle from REI. Call me crazy, but I can get more wear cycles out of my clothes by keeping a reasonable diet and using that stuff instead of perfume-laden Old Spice or Irish Spring, or something like that. I need to sweat in it more in order for it to start stinkin', in other words. Certain body washes and laundry detergent also irritates my skin, too, this stuff doesn't.
When it's time to wash clothes, here's my method:
Fill a dry bag halfway with clothes. Squirt some of the soap in there, close it up with just a little air in it, then knead and toss it around a bit to mix it all up.
Let it soak for 10 or more minutes while doing something else, then knead and toss it around some more. This is the actual washing part, so you want to agitate it best you can for the best results.
Open the mouth of the bag, kinda spread out the clothes inside the bag, then roll it from the bottom towards the mouth to squeeze out the water. Unroll it, flip it over, then do it again the other way. Fill the bag again with water to the same height, shake it up, and squeeze it out two more times, or however many times it takes for the water coming out to be clear. I typically just need two rinse cycles, with more emphasis on the agitation in step 2.
Carry the bag to my clothesline, and take each item out, wring it by hand, then hang it.
This is actually a great use for a dry bag that's a little leaky, with a few pinholes or seepage going on. I picked up two variety packs of drybags for cheap at WalMart, and the largest (about 3 gal) of them I used to stuff clothes in. They're not great bags, honestly, and those two larger bags saw more wear n tear than the others, so one became my water tank for camp showers, and the other became my washing machine.
https://www.amazon.com/Ivation-Portable-Outdoor-Battery-Powered/dp/B00IFHFJXI
You could just get this and drop it in a bucket of water.
I use one of these for camping. You can heat use water from the sink in the operable half bath and use a kiddie pool if there's room to put it in there. Otherwise, get a Bucket Heater and shower in the garage or kitchen. You can even set up a shower curtain with tarps or rolled plastic on a pvc frame.
Oh, I forgot to mention that you can add a drain to the kiddie pool by drilling a hole in the side and using pvc fittings and a hose.
hmmmm, wasn't aware of unleaded gas cooking equipment! there are plenty out here apparently. A bit of a game changer for me.
Looking to power Laptops, cellphones, lights, maybe a 12v heating blanket. So I'm thinking we will use the truck batteries (alternator) to charge those while driving. The generator will fire up for cooking, kettle, running the block heater. Then heat water with your suggested coleman then drop in a battery powered shower head
I've come across these $800 diesel heaters but man that seems pricey for what could be a two month trip.
Good sleeping spots are on the street near libraries and churches, if you can get on the corner of a parking lot that people cut through instead of walking past your windows, all the better. Okay spots are the streets outside of apartment complexes. Make sure nobody can see you inside the vehicle by using tinting or those tin foily things people put in their windshields to block out necessary windows. If the cops can't see you, they usually won't care what is going on. Try not to use the same spot every night or at the very least move your van around each day. Stay quiet and don't use lights. When you go to your sleeping spot you are going there to sleep then leave, spend recreation time elsewhere.
Hospitals closely watch their parking lots, you might get away with it once in a while or a few times but they will catch on.
When showers aren't available, use baby wipes to do a full body wipedown. A gym or rec center membership is good for showers too, shop around. You can wash your hair in a bucket, a change to a shortish hairstyle makes this easier. Since you have a little money to use to make this easier I'd also suggest one of these: http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00IFHFJXI and one of these http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B000667QL4/
As far as peeing goes, that is a matter of figuring out where the easily accessible bathrooms are in relation to your sleeping spots. This requires some scouting. Otherwise, you might want to pick up a GoGirl http://www.amazon.com/Go-Girl-Female-Urination-Lavender/dp/B003BEDUS6 for outdoor bathroom emergencies if you can find some privacy behind a dumpster or something.
Food is mostly canned or dry. Nothing that needs to be cooked or kept cold usually unless it is consumed right away. Nuts, chips, shelf-stable meal shakes, bananas, apples, jerky, canned vegetable stew, and canned spaghetti are pretty standard. During hot months I make it a point to store food for no more than 3 days in my truck before eating it no matter what it is.
I'll second suggestions of a smoke/CO2 detector.
It's a portable shower, you just dunk the bottom in a tank, and you have an instant shower wherever you are: here it is
I might just do that, I found this sprayer thing that only needs a bucket lol
Has anyone tried out one of these electric suction shower thingies? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IFHFJXI Are they any good?
