I use the Izzo Swammi 4000 (http://www.amazon.com/IZZO-Swami-4000-Golf-GPS/dp/B008DH4XJQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1430141503&sr=8-1&keywords=izzo)
I love it. I don't want a watch on my arm while I'm swinging. This model has the backlight and is easy to see on bright days. All of the courses are preloaded--although you can update the course list from time to time by connecting the unit to your PC via USB.
I had a SkyCaddie before, but the yearly fees and having to manually download each course was a headache. They may have improved on that. It has been several years since I owned one.
It looks like they have a watch version if you're into that (http://www.amazon.com/IZZO-Swami-Watch-Golf-Improved/dp/B00FNRC9WM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1430141503&sr=8-3&keywords=izzo)
