This book helped my wife and me: https://www.amazon.com/Jaccouche-bient%C3%B4t-Que-faire-douleur/dp/2840584492/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Tr%C3%A9la%C3%BCn&qid=1610235686&sr=8-1
It explains how pain is related to labor, and why it comes and then can be managed by the strength of the female body. It's message is positive and wonderous, and if you are open to it, can change the way you understand pain, in the context of childbirth. (It doesn't, however, make stubbing your toe hurt less. That still SUCKS.)
I don't think it is available in English, unfortunately.
Also the info at www.nait-sens.ch is useful.
