There is exactly 1 adhesive I keep on me, when riding long-distance:
https://www.amazon.com/J-B-Weld-50139-Plastic-Adhesive/dp/B01IBOK7FE/
You've got ?1? or ?2? minutes to mix, I forget ( it slightly changes texture when you've gotten it right: tyere is a short period of weird-granularity, iirc ), and need to clamp for abt 1/2h...
It is hard as rock, when set, and sticks to everything except teflon, polypropylene, and .. uhmwpe.
If I broke a bike-frame, in the outback of Bhutan, this would fix it.
Do practice gluings with things that don't matter 1st, eh?
I never figured it out how to remove the metal plate. It's very frustrating they built it like this. I ended up fixing the armrests from swiveling with plastic bonder and it's worked well. I'm disappointed that's what I needed to do, but I really dislike the swivel.
They say Bondo shouldn’t be used on plastic. it can be used on metal, wood, and fiberglass. Reason for this is because of the flex in the plastic. When the plastic flexes the Bondo will crack. You can fill it with JB Weld plastic bondera body shop will most likely replace it though and it gets expensive. Seen ridiculous estimates come in on here for similar damage anywhere between 900-1400 for a new bumper, labor, and paint.
Think something like this JB Weld plastic bonder would work?
Idk how how safe it is but I just repaired mine with this JB Weld Plastic Bonder
I glued the broken holes shut and drilled a new hole right through the plastic bonder. Also repaired road rash with it. Used clear packing tape as a backing and topper to keep it nice and flat
100% honest, I dont remember the exact brand. But I think it was an epoxy, like one of the double tube syringes that keeps it from hardening while inside the tube overtime. It might have been this, https://www.amazon.com/J-B-Weld-50139-Plastic-Adhesive/dp/B01IBOK7FE/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=epoxy+glue+for+plastic&qid=1648328767&sr=8-3. Not 100% sure.
If you want to make sure the headset still has a hinge then that's a bit more complicated. I'd recommend getting some stuff 3D printed. The solution that would be much easier but would eliminate the hinge is to use jb weld plastic bonder. (J-B Weld 50139 Plastic Bonder Body Panel Adhesive and Gap Filler Syringe - Black - 25 ml https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IBOK7FE/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_g_HQFG0RTM05KVXBDCJZ6C )
If you can get the hinge back in place then tape off a zone and fill the gap carefully with this mixed. It will dry mostly in only about 10min. You need to be careful as with any adhesive but if you go in layers doing small amounts you can make a fairly smooth fix with it in only a few hours. The only thing is that since it's essentially epoxy that hardens into black plastic you won't be able to hinge the headset any longer.
This is the brand I’ve used before for similar projects

Comes in different colors to match or hide the adhesive against what you’re glueing

You may be able to manually move the hinge and get it under the glass again if you're careful. For one with the hinge torn out like that, but no glass damage, I was able to glue it back together with this. https://www.amazon.com/J-B-Weld-50139-Plastic-Adhesive/dp/B01IBOK7FE
Try injecting plastic glue in the hole and put the screw into it. Use zip ties to hold it in place while drying.
Thank you! Is there any certain type of of epoxy I should be looking for? I have this https://www.amazon.com/J-B-Weld-50139-Plastic-Adhesive/dp/B01IBOK7FE/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Black+epoxy&qid=1596480802&sr=8-3 or should I get a epoxy putty stick instead?
I used this stuff to fix cracks in my old XPT100's: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IBOK7FE
It took a couple days to dry completely but it's super strong now.
can I just use JB Weld plastic bonder?

Use JB Weld. This happened to my CV1 and the only thing held long term (even to this day) is JB Weld.
Oh I forgot to mention JB Weld is also really good for bonding plastic to medal.
These are the best and the one's you want. To fix it use some 2 part plastic epoxy and you can use the cover to hold it together while it sets.
Alternatively, if you live in California, Oculus has to be able to sell you a replacement, or refund your whole order.
That or the plastic JB weld stuff
The same thing happened to me. Same side too.
Herman Miller refused to help. They asked for original paperwork. I ordered this from Amazon and my Amazon invoice was not sufficient for them.
I took apart the arm and found a small plastic part was cracked in two. You can see the part here.
I super glued it back together and re-assembled everything which worked for a week until it broke again. I then ordered this stuff and it's been working fine since January.
If it breaks again, I plan to have someone 3D print me a new piece.
I've used this stuff in the past for headphones, it's some kind of epoxy designed for plastic. Takes a couple days to fully dry, but it's incredibly strong: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IBOK7FE
