Thanks for your response! Do you think it would be better to just keep a camping power station on hand? Maybe something like this? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FYJVFNK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_DK2CN9M3PJA3ZK159R91
Unfortunately, I have to do a lot of things online nowadays, school and my job. So I’m just trying to make sure I’m able to continue doing those things when the power inevitably goes out.
Maybe something like this https://www.amazon.com/Jackery-Portable-Generator-Explorer-Emergency/dp/B07FYJVFNK/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=large+battery+bank&qid=1597182189&sr=8-3
You would still have to recharge it eventually.. The power has to come from somewhere!
Thats unrealistic. We all need to charge our electronics. And we are all using the same public outlets now. The pandemic changed everything. You are now responsible for your own electricity. Especially for something like a CPAP machine. You need a Jackery. It will charge your CPAP and a lot more.

Go on Amazon and you can get a 160wh unit for $170 and it WILL charge from solar with no "firmware" issues. Goal Zero isn't the best, they just have the best marketing.

Maybe a small Jackery? Leaving a battery like that plugged in all the time might not be great for battery life, but if you're only covering a minute our so, it'll probably last forever.

I think at that capacity you'll generally be looking at power stations and not power banks. They probably won't fit in a backpack
This is kind of what I was thinking about I used to have something similar to this the one, the brand I can’t remember but it had wheels and a handle and we used to cart it around and use it for Renaissance fairs for a couple clamp on lights. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FYJVFNK/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_Tcq5FbM7RW7AY
Anker is really good. Plus its available sa online retailers.
However if you can get this from the US the Jackery line of portable power is made for outdoor camping. I have 2 of their products good up to 2-3 charges and fits my purse at 12000MH. My freinds go to a lot of music fest so eto gamit nila.
The Jackery 160 is a size of a kiddie lunch box and a mini portable generator https://www.amazon.com/Jackery-Portable-Generator-Explorer-Emergency/dp/B07FYJVFNK?ref_=ast_sto_dp
Made for camping talaga sya.
Other brands I know of are RavPower, Technoamp and GoalZero.
Invest also in those na me solar panels so me resource ka lagi for power.
I have a 21W solar charger which will trickle charge my Jackery Explorer 160 battery bank once it comes in.
Thanks for that meme. Perfect description.
I suggest getting a jackery solar generator. I have the 160. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FYJVFNK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fab_MmPDFb92P0453 Got for $105 at the time. I have a 100w solar panel for it that can fully charge it in about 3 hours (I'd suggest at least a 50w panel if you get this model) I also have a few battery banks (5 of various sizes). These are my favorite. I have 2 of them https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08B8R1TL6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fab_.lPDFbV28T2F0. I recharge these with the small foldable portable solar panels.
Agreed on the digital library. I know there is somewhere you can download all of wikipedia at a reasonable size. I wanna do that too. Also all of my favorite music and movies shows, books on some external hard drives as well as some smaller stuff on large flash drives/micro usbs. Also a lot of good maps too.
Maybe something like this if he doesn't already have something like it.
Maybe a set of these.
If you have a set bugout location then detailed topographical maps of the area will make him flip.
Or on Christmas night you can just put on a camo bikini and tell him you're gonna give him a tactical... uhhh... You know what? Never mind that. Just get him power and/ or comms.
Merry Christmas.
Portable power station. Pretty nice when car camping with people who use electronics, or to setup and power a lighting system.

Lemme know if you need a drummer! I have my kit set up in a storage unit that allows practice. There's no outlets, but I have this portable power station that you could plug a small amp into.
cell phones/internet. charge phone at work, or charge this at work and use it in your vehicle for other devices.

diet is whatever you can afford with no cooking tools except a camping grill. you have to be flexible, (and not picky) mostly. you can upgrade, or downgrade certain amenities depending on your situation whether it be a RV, or just an astro van with a mattress in the back.
sure!
And my solar panel (looks like it’s much cheaper now I received it as a gift when it was $250!)
And when I say Battery, I was thinking one of those Battery Generators (https://www.amazon.com/Jackery-Portable-Generator-Explorer-Emergency/dp/B07FYJVFNK/ref=asc_df_B07FYJVFNK/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312202698398&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3251943045837811025&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9007759&hvtargid=pla-568502590062&psc=1) not like a car or marine battery.
The power supply he is referring to would allow him to plug his ac adapter in to it while he rides. Edit: adding link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FYJVFNK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_3CP7HHDRFFV0PTGDESCP
I have done a lot of things with batteries. I'm not familiar the bluesound node 2. From the pictures it looks like it connects straight to ac which is a bummer, that makes things more difficult. If you are super good at electronics and soldering and feel like taking the thing apart you might be able to retrofit some batteries in it, but it would have made life a lot more easy if it did it's dc conversion outside of the box.... There are some not too bad of bulky battery packs out there for ac though. I have this One it's pretty light, about the size of maybe a quart size tupperware. Having a bit of a look around though This one looks pretty nice. The only power usage I could find is "6 watts idle" and that power supply will run it for days at that rate, though I suspect the usage will be more when it's not idle, so ymmv.
The following two together are great. The battery should not be used to power by ac, but instead the DC converter.

Jackery product links on Amazon:
I don't know what your budget is or storage space you have, but bigger is better and lasts longer with these.
Solar Panels on Amazon:
TP-solar 60W Portable Foldable Solar Panel Charger Kit
TP-solar 100W Foldable Solar Panel Charger Kit
Again, with the bigger the better advice. The more solar panels, the faster the charging.
