I'm trying to get back down to my .025 nightly dose. I also use this scale for microdosing shrooms. My microdose on those actually got up to 1.5g so I took a long break from shrooms too.
I've done fish mox a few times for wounds/abscesses (and other meds for both my indoor and feral cats), a 50g x .001g scale is also great for precisely dosing out tiny amounts of medication by weight. I have one like this that I've been using for years, I calibrate it every time I use it and then I can just weigh out the powder and mix it right into a bit of wet food (or load up a syringe or capsule, depending on the cat/med). Super convenient to have one on hand!
I bought a scale off Amazon. Honestly wasn’t all that expensive. And has definitely helped when separating stuff out. Also, makes it nice to know if someone is trying to pinch extra out of it.

This one is pretty awesome.
Under $20, measures in mg, and it comes with batteries, a weight to calibrate it with, tweezers, and even a little tray to put your material in while weighing that has a lip so you can pour it into something else when youre done
I remember a friend of mine paying $50 for like this exact same thing 10 years ago
Yeah, plugging happens a lot too, especially w/ Molly. If you ever go to a festival or concert, there's a huge line of guys to use the bathroom stalls, and it's not because they need to shit. I was a tiesto concert and it was nuuuuts - but it was also cool to see the drug volunteer crews there too (old ex-party dudes who are there to help anyone who OD).

Either way, if you're boofing/IV'ing, invest in a cheap milligram scale. Keep a log when you start out so you know how to pace yourself in the future. For clearing coke out of your system, your body metabolizes 50% at 60 minutes, and 30% at 30 minutes. Also, don't drink grapefruit juice, it can inhibit your metabolism and lead to OD.

This is probably TMI but I'll leave it for others.
More accurate than most and faster than any reloading scale on the market . Get check weights and you'll be good to go. JamBer Digital Milligram Pocket... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0731F3F2N?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Many old timers swear by their analog scales. Weight at one end, powder pan at the other. Calipers are both digital and analog. I don't have an analogue scale yet but want one. Digital! Scale I use. Digital Calipers!. Here's an analog! scale. You don't need to spend a lot of $ to get scales. Having a means to check to your digital scale for a sanity check is always good. My best advice is to get a bullet gauge (again, I like shooters box) and the Lyman reloading manual. Read it. And re-read it. If you can afford a chronograph, get one. If you have money to burn for your hobby, aka Ballistomania, then get the Mitutoyo 500-16-30 calipers. I would love a set...
Yes micro taper is definitely the way to go. In fact that’s what I did, but on lorazepam without switching to valium, so I did it hard mode and succeeded. I recommend you do the same, I can tell you that when I wasn’t micro tapering the dose difference was really too much to handle, and right now you’re cutting too much too fast. Here is how to do it. First of all watch this video, it explains the general idea and procedure. https://youtu.be/dkY1pU0ZOXE
I then did some adjustements based on my equipment and my experience. What I did is I got a milligram scale and started going down in total weight of the pill I was taking by 1mg whenever I felt comfortable (anything from a minimum of 3-4 days to a week+, even more if needed, depending on how you feel and how stressed you feel in that moment). Never ever up your dose for any reason, just say at the same one for longer in case. In my case I took 0.25mg lorazepam initially, which was a quarter of a pill, which weighted exactly 25mg. Each day you take your pill, cut it roughly as best as you can, and then by weighting it on your milligram scale multiple times on and off you gradually shave off what’s needed to reach the desired weight with your FINGERNAIL. This is important, I found I had the best control over how much I had to shave if I used my fingernail and gently shaving it, rather than using tools which make it harder to control, you risk cutting too much and that’s bad. Don’t worry about ruining the pill, as long as you wash your hands beforehand and take it a couple of hours max after you prepared it, you will have 0 problems. Getting the right weight scale is important. I was lucky enough to have access to a professional grade lab scale but since it wasn’t very convenient for preparing my pills I bought 2 different portable and very cheap ones from amazon and compared the accuracy. I can tell you that the weight accuracy is almost exactly the same as extremely expensive weight scales and you really don’t need any better to reach acceptable results, granted you take the right ones. This is the model you want since mine was exactly the same https://www.amazon.com/JamBer-0-00-1-76-electrónica-calibración/dp/B0731F3F2N/
https://www.amazon.com/Smart-Weigh-GEM20-Precision-Milligram/dp/B00ESHDGOI/ This one is the one the guy uses in the video, I bought it and it also works decently well but i found it slightly less accurate and consistent in measurements than the previous one. Whichever one you buy don’t use the plate that comes with it, what you wanna do is that you turn it on on a hard smooth surface, you set it to milligrams, you calibrate it every single time you turn it on by using the included weight, then you put your pill on top of the calibration weight on and off multiple times to measure it and double check the readings are consistent, with the weight still on the scale acting as a “plate” for the pill, so when you lift off the pill you know that the scale is still calibrated if it still shows the same exact calibration weight every time. Sometimes they start to get inconsistent while they are turned on and tend to lose calibration halfway, just do the calibration again. Oh and don’t use it near electomagnetic sources like tv, there needs to be no wind and the table needs not to shake for best results obviously. And then basically you prepare your pill every day and shave off the desired amount from the pill with your fingernail every day, being careful not to overdo it (it’s better to shave 1mg less than 1mg more than desired) you measure it a couple of times to get a consistent reading, and when you are happy with what the scale says you take it. It won’t be 100% perfect every time, sometimes you get different readings, but with practice you’ll get very good. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it has to be quite good. With valium it really doesn’t have to be super perfect, but I can tell you it’s much much better than what you are doing right now. I did the whole journey while staying on lorazepam and doing this, would recommend you do the same. You’ll find it much more tolerable than what you are doing right now. Don’t set specific deadlines for cutting 1mg down, but go when you feel like you can handle it. You’ll probably get some withdrawals, but if you go at your own pace and don’t push the limits, it will be very doable. I did it, you can do it too.
I took 0.25 mg lorazepam for 6 months before starting to taper in January, jumped off exactly one month ago at 0.06mg. I did not have to do water tapering as I developed a method that worked really well and was really inexpensive to just do gradual and constant reductions. Here is the process in detail. First of all, I wasn’t using ativan because I’m not in the US but it’s under another brand here, so my pills might weight and look different from what you have. What helped me immensely figuring out reductions is that my 1mg lorazepam pills were round and were weighting exactly 100mg each. Therefore what I did is I got a milligram scale and started going down in weight by 1mg when i felt comfortable (anything from 3-4 days to a week+ depending on how you feel). Never up your dose for any reason, just say at the same one for longer in case. In my case I took 0.25mg lorazepam initially, which was a quarter of a pill, which weighted 25mg. Sometimes they start to get inconsistent while they are turned on, just do the calibration again.

It won’t be 100% perfect every time, sometimes you get different readings, but with practice you’ll get very good. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it has to be quite good. You will get quite bad withdrawals even if it’s perfect because of the short acting nature of the benzo you are taking, but it’s totally doable to come off from such low doses without swapping, I did it.
As for my tapering experience, it was the closest thing I know to hell. There are not many drugs worse than Ativan, but it’s doable. This is why I want to help you because I feel like you are in a quite comparable situation to what I was a few months ago. I found that there were a few “barriers” I was hitting in my tapering, and whenever I tried to go below those the withdrawal was extremely annoying. 0.25-0.20 was quite easy, it gets worse once you go lower. I spent like a month at 0.12mg because it was just that bad, unable to go lower. You need to find windows where you feel better and push for more reduction right there. Sub 0.10 was also very bad, but at those doses I realized one thing, basically I was feeling relatively ok during the day, and whenever I took say 0.8, after a couple of hours, when it was in my system, I started feeling way more anxious and shaky than before, crazy mood swings, basically I noticed they weren’t doing anything good anymore. At all. It came to a point where whenever it was time to take them I didn’t want anymore, because i actually felt better before taking them, and I knew I would feel worse by taking them, it was clear they were doing this to me, they started doing the exact opposite of what you take them for. I stopped at 0.06mg (i think the scale can only read up to 0.04) but in hindsight i should have stopped earlier than that. I was just prolonging my suffering for absolutely no reason. If I had to do it again I would stop at like 0.10 or 0.08 max. No point going further, the pill becomes so tiny and you literally feel much worse on it than without it. My first 10 days off I felt like EXTREMELY better than when I was tapering to such small amounts. From zero to hero, 0 anxiety, 0 mood swings, much more will to do things, much more appetite. It kinda felt like I was on an extremely higher dose for some reason, i was sensitive to almost nothing that would otherwise give me anxiety. It was weird because I expected it to be worse, but I should have quit much sooner! I think your brain goes in protection mode for a bit once you stop taking it until it figures out what happened. My withdrawal symptoms started after a bit, like after 10 days clean it started to get worse and for 2-3 more weeks I felt like I went backwards many steps. Sweating, mood swings, anxiety, no hunger, belly pain after eating, ear ringing more than usual. Just the usual I also had while on it. It all went away in like a week or two, now I just have some sweating and anxiety but I can tell it’s much much better than during tapering, and honestly even the worst part of withdrawal compared to tapering to such low doses was better and more tolerable.
The tldr is that you should quit sooner than what I did, at some point it literally just does only harm to you and you are prolonging your suffering for absolutely 0 reason.
If you have questions about tapering or anything else just hit me up, I’d be very happy to help you. You can do it too!
Where are you getting your facts?
There are numerous scales on Amazon that measure down to .0001 Grams (Let alone the 5mgs) for under $20.
