Can you find the Bosch 1617EVSPK anywhere? This kit comes with the plunge base and the one I own. Great router with plenty of power for the money. If you can't find it look for any 2+HP router from a decent brand and you'll be fine. I like Bosch because their warranty and customer service is excellent.

The standard collet sizes for US is 1/2" and 1/4", and I always assumed this was standard in Europe as well. These are roughly 12mm and 6mm. Use the 1/2" whenever possible as it adds stability and rigidity.

Any router can be fitted to any number of router tables. You only need to match the holes on the base of the router to the router table's plate. You can even buy a router lift kit similar to this and build a router table stand around it... this is what I wish I did instead of buying the Bosch Router table RA1181 which was disappointing.
