My wife got me the book, Jesus the Great Philosopher: Rediscovering the Wisdom Needed for the Good Life, which was pretty good. The author doesn't discount the spiritual/religious aspect of what Jesus said, but would see it as part of how Jesus address the fundamental philosophical questions of what is good and how we should live. It was actually very fascinating to see how Biblical authors purposefully referenced philosophical traditions that would have been obvious to Greek readers.
Anyhow, I sort of love putting together topical Bible passage lists. Ever since reading the book, I've wanted to put together a passage list addressing the key philosophical topics outlined in the book: metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, and politics. But, I've never gotten around to it. If interested, let me know, and I'll assemble a list for you. That would actually get me to finally make it.
