I know it's a bit pricy, but I ended up using this carry case for two semesters and it was perfect for the drawing pads. You'll often see people carry just the pads or even roll them up, but that ruins the works in them. If your works have rips, folds, or creases it is not looked upon well because you have to take care of your work. I'd suggest also always carrying around a large industrial trash bag with you so you can wrap it around the pads if it rains.
