Firstly, never, ever be timid in asking for prayer-about ANYTHING! James 5:16 reads " Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much". That is exactly what we are called to do. I just want to tell you that I have the same challenge and last year the Lord lead me to start working on the 12 steps thru AA. I know, right? But it is helping me so much. So what I do is, I read the 12 steps and the 12 traditions a couple of times a week and I read two devotionals daily. The first one is called Daily Refleclections: a book of relfections by A.A. members for A.A. members. The second one is called Just For Today: daily meditations for recovering addicts. I tried Overeaters Anonymous and found it depressing. Well I already have depression so I couldn't take that chance. I've tried a lot of other things but I have to be careful because most things caused me to put on weight. I will pray for you. below you will find links to the books on ebay and a link to a great library website that you can look them up on. I am praying for you.
