I'd say it takes a few weeks to get used to the mask/machine. BUT I think you'll know if it's right or wrong type of mask for you in a few days. Start minimal (nasal cushion type) and move up to larger masks if you're a mouth breather.
I'd strap the machine down if I were you. the mask will separate from the hose eventually, but if you jump up and start running...it'll fall off the nightstand, etc. Or put it in a drawer. maybe something like this under your nightstand and over the machine?

for the bipap question...they won't give you one unless you 'fail' cpap, because they cost more. hopefully you'll do fine on cpap and won't have to go through that hassle
I believe its this 8ft one (it might be a 6ft). So its behind neck, then over front of shoulders then crosses behinf back and you being the ends around to your belly where it buckles. When you pull it tight the force is on front of shoulders and it pulls them back and holds them. My pain doc gave me a kind stretchy thing that was to the same thing but this works 10x better. This immediately relieved a lot of pain for me but we are all different. It also allowed me to go from working at the computer for like 10 minutes to several hours. I still cant sit and work at computer without it even though my back is a lot better. https://www.amazon.com/Keeper-85243-Lashing-Strap-Pack/dp/B004PL4H0O
Meh, I bought some polyester tie down straps with aluminum buckles for about six bucks and I use a marlin spike knot to attach my carabiner. Simple, cheap, lightweight. Easy up and down. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004PL4H0O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_YPCvxbAB283Y2
Rookie mistake. Only use bungee cords to attach things you plan to lose.
Carry a few of these wherever you used to keep your bungees. You won't lose another beer.
Ah if you're going for that, maybe get something like this
Not having a pit I have a totally different use for it, I strap my pedal and then tie the other end to my chair to keep it from moving forward :)
Well if you do, I have found that ratchet straps were very secure and even the friction type straps like these are more than enough for lumber. I've tried to make the load shift and could not. I was a little surprised by that and really only use the ratchet type for plywood. Especially since the 4' wide sheets leave no extra bar to wrap a strap around. I actually pop the caps off the bar ends and stick the hooks right into the ends.
The crappy tie downs look like loading straps to me. Am I missing something?

I mean, they won't stop that thing tipping forwards like has been said elsewhere (why didn't they load it laying flat?) but they are legit 600lb straps.
I think I am going to cut some holes in the back and lash them in with a pair of Keeper Lashing Straps. I have a pair of them. Or can get another pair.
Cam buckle straps like these.
