Yup, that's why I go with something like the slim blade. It uses my entire hand to mouse, and I mouse left handed since I'm a righty, to balance out the strain.
Took some getting used to, especially working left handed, but it was the only thing that completely fixed my wrist issues in my right hand.
Well...as far as inability to work this is the best version available. Proven and public. Much less gnarly than say depression or chronic fatigue syndrome...which people will just straight up not believe.
None the less you need to actively manage this. Grab whatever mentor/coach/partner type character is assigned to you and talk to them about this. If they are not utter morons they'll understand that one handed typing is slow.
I'd also reach out to HR (after talking per above). If this happens to one of my people I'd frankly just push HR to just put this person on medical leave the whole 4 weeks.
If they're being stupid - I've had good luck using a trackball on my non-dominant hand. Specifically look for one where rotating the ball = scroll down

Good luck - don't think this is a career risk despite bottom of barrel productivity if you actively manage it
Hey man, same thing here. My accident was in 2011 and you will find a setting to play league.
I use a Kensington SlimBlade as mouse and just play with one finger. Took many co-op games to be competitiv again but you'll catch the drift.
trackball. I recommend Kensington Slimblades especially if you have limited functionality in your fingers.
It’s the Kensington slimblade, would highly recommend!

I use the Kensington trackball, too!
While working in bed, I find this mouse to be very easy to use as a quadriplegic with no hand use. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001MTE32Y/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You should consider a trackball. I have a slight tremor sometimes and use one of these:

this one is my current, I love the shit out if it but I need a new mouse for my new cad machine and I think this is the winner, thanks op
Try it. As a lefty mouser, I’ve found Kensington’s big trackballs (especially the Trackball Pro) to be indispensable.
i use this at work http://www.amazon.com/Kensington-K72327US-SlimBlade-Trackball-Mouse/dp/B001MTE32Y
also have a regular mouse too.
i do wrist stretches everyday.
