You have the wrong kind of jars! You want these but not from amazon cuz they're like half as cheap at wally world, Kmart or other stores. What you have are the weird platinum ones, you won't be able to get cakes out of them due to the difference between the side and the lip.
Check out the PF-Tek method. I can't link it b/c I'm at work... but you should google and do a lot of research. Watch a bunch of Youtube tutorials. PF-Tek is the easiest and most reliable (IMO) for a first time grower. If you are interested in supplies, you basically need:
For the substrate:
For your fruiting chamber:
Other:
And that's about it. There are some luxury items you could also buy like a fan for further providing FAE, or even an air pump to pump fresh air into the container.
I would recommend buying your own items separately. When you buy a whole kit, you are paying for a lot of stuff you may not need and all the supplies are easily available on Amazon or at Home Depot/Lowes.
I'm sure I'm leaving some stuff out, but that will get you started. Just one piece of advice... research, research, research. This isn't a quick turn-around project. It takes months from inoculation until you have dried product. If you skip steps, you may have wasted quite a bit of time.
PM me if you have questions. I'm also somewhat a noob but I've had some successful grows.
The most recommend jar is an "8oz wide mouth mason jar" There hard to find and expensive but this is the perfect jar https://www.amazon.com/Kerr-Half-Pint-8-Ounces-12-Count-1-Case/dp/B00A0KUGYU/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=8+oz+wide+mouth+mason+jar&qid=1630587435&sr=8-3
I use jars like this:

So I did a quick dimension check.
u/Shroomscout used IKEA tubs that have a surface area of 82.5". At 3" depth, that's a volume of 247.5 in^3
I am using these home depot shoeboxes with a surface area of 112.4". I would need 2.2" of depth to match the same volume.
I used 3 half-pint brf jars; each hold about 8oz, so about one uncle ben bag (8.8oz) = one jar (8oz)
Shroomscout says about 1-1.5 bags per gallon tub, so I put about 2.5x more myc in my grow (note: my brf cakes have about 1/3 less nutrition density than full-on brown rice, so I might be about even)
I think the most telling part is this: >I was able to do Six 4qt tubs, and one 24qt tub, perfectly with 1 brick. 1 brick is quite a lot once hydrated.
>One brick was able to provide a 2:1 substrate:spawn ratio (at least) for 12 bags of uncle bens, spread out over various monotubs.
So one 4qt (1gal) tub should use less than 1/6 of a brick, which aligns with my initial assumption. I did that first and only got to about 1-1.5in. depth in my tub. I was trying to reach 3in. depth with coco coir.
Also, good to note that one brick should provide enough for 12 bags of uncle bens (8.8oz). In other words, 1 coir brick should be enough for 105.6 oz of wet brown rice.
One thing I just realized now too, is that I should try saran wrapping the top. My shoebox lid is opaque instead of the transparent IKEA tubs.
Are you talking about the Ball really really flat ones? I haven't bought those because they are 2x the price of the others. I mean the Kerr half pint wide mouth. They stack great. The only problem is that they are really expensive on Amazon.
