Check out the Kershaw Chill.
Ultra light and slim but capable knife with a 3.1" blade made from 8Cr13MoV (OK steel for the price, which comes well under $30).
The Kershaw Chill would be a good bet:
3.1" slim, very low profile stainless steel blade, incredibly sharp, only weighs 2oz. No doubt you could find it for cheaper than amazon's current pricing, I got mine for $18.
I keep a Kershaw Chill in my drawer at work. Aside from the occasional run across a stone have given it zero love. It's a screwdriver, scraper, box knife, bottle opener, chisel, and occasional sliver digger. It's held up surprisingly well.
Kershaw Chill (3410), Folding Everyday Carry Pocket Knife with 3.1 In. High-Performance 8Cr13MoV Stainless Steel Blade with Bead-Blasted Finish and Black G-10 Handle Scales, 2 oz [link]
Kershaw Chill under $20, had mine for 2 years.
Fisher Space Pens are pretty popular, I got one of the short ones recently, used the Pilot Precise V5 RT before which I like better but it was a bit too long.
Also carry a pair of bluetooth earbuds they're great for the price.
The Leatherman Micra is my go to multi tool since it's small and I like the way the stainless steel one looks.
Ditched my traditional leather/pleather bifold for something slimmer, went with the Herschel Raven since I'm not particularly picky about it. But there should be a bunch of money clips, slim wallets and etc. that are popular EDC stuff here.
I also have on me a normally a pair of flash drives, one has Windows as well as various programs and the other one is empty in case I need some files off someone's computer. They're also good for documents that I need to print out at the Fedex store since I don't have a printer at home.
An item I carry as a keychain is the P-38 can opener, I'll probably never use it but you never know. It doesn't really take up any space so I just leave it there.
I'm love my Kershaw Chill which I first saw recommended here. I'm on mobile but it should be easy to find on Amazon and I think it was around 18 USD so not the end of the world if I lose it.
Edit: oh and one of my favorite things about it is that you can open it one handed with either hand.
