How many plants is it able to support? I see its a bar style. Im looking for an intro light. I want it to support 2 plants through flower. I see this kingbrite on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Double-Spectrum-Greenhouse-Indoor-Flower/dp/B0185OLBPK?th=1 Do you think I would need two?
Yo I’m getting in the shipping businesses, prolly need some practice. I just got some new grow lights coming in, so I’ll have an extra grow light, it’s nothing special, but would prolly be an upgrade, can send it to you if you want! https://www.amazon.com/Double-Spectrum-Greenhouse-Indoor-Flower/dp/B0185OLBPK if you’re interested you can DM, ill have my new ones Tuesday.
I'll try lowering to around 20" because it said 26-30 for Germination and any stage after that it Lowers to average ~20. My humidity is kept at 70% and heat 70-80 F. Still confused on when to switch both veg/bloom switch on. Assuming once i transplant would be a good time to switch both on? or should i just keep both on now
LEDLED
Ah this one. Yea man max true ~ watts is 188w. Look at the 6th pic, shows the parameters.
No blurple light is worth it my friend! Look into Migro.com
Edit: the replacement is of a HPS it’s a sneaky industry practice to say things like this since there is limited regulation and rules. Don’t trust this. For LED you get what you pay for.
Okay I think I’m getting it lol. Sorry for asking so many questions, I really appreciate you helping me out lol.
So, this light, for example is listed as 1000W but in the description is says “...replace the traditional 600W HPS to provide brighter light...” so would this be a “600W equivalent” light?
Sun: Nepenthes generally like bright light without much direct sun. About 50% sun or dappled shade is good. Plant lights often work well if they are broad spectrum and are kept just far enough away to prevent overheating or scorching. Thin, spindly plants or poor coloration are a sign of too weak a light.
Light is a key factor in growing healthy orchids. Direct sunlight may cause plants to burn, and too little light will prevent plants from flowering. An ideal location is behind curtains or window blinds. If you receive your plant by mail, expose it to light gradually in stages over a period of several weeks.
You will want purple grow lights (blue + red spectrum), higher wattage for the nepenthese and lower wattage for the orchids. The wattage depends on how many plants you have and how big the grow tents are. You can find them all over Google and Amazon in different prices/sizes/wattage. For a grow tent, you will probably want a light array similar to this that spreads the light around well inside the tent: https://www.amazon.com/Double-Spectrum-Greenhouse-Indoor-Flower/dp/B0185OLBPK/ref=sxin_3_osp48-36a8c5f3_cov?adgrpid=61475560212&ascsubtag=36a8c5f3-ad91-4b5b-baf5-381dd8900eb5&creativeASIN=B0185OLBPK&cv_ct_id=amzn1.osp.36a8c5f3-ad91-4b5...
picture of the sticker on it with the lights info on it? Does it look similar to this light? https://www.amazon.com/Double-Spectrum-Greenhouse-Indoor-Flower/dp/B0185OLBPK/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1528486688&sr=8-5&keywords=1000w+led+grow+light
If so its not anywhere near as good as the MH/HPS lights you have.
I used a king LED 1k watt, Really like a 250w wall draw, over 2 cherry death pie in hydro. I yeilded 6oz from a 90$ light, at the time i purchased it. Not the best but not bad. I run a 400 or 600w hid now.

I realize I dont know which light exactly your using. I mixed this thread with another when I replied. I thought you were using a KING 1800 COB.
Is it this one, LINK
Hello everyone, first time grower and poster, and avid lurker. I have three Blue Dream and one Afghan Kush all from seed.
My plants have grown much faster than I expected! Is this a normal rate of growth? They seem to have almost no vertical growth from the stem, which is a good thing right?
My first question is when should I move them from their standard size solo cups to 3 gallon smart pots?
Second, I want to end up with 4 main branches, I was planning on topping for the first time right above the 4th node, does this sound right?
Ridiculous, you could get a kingbright 700W LED for around that price

Above, is the link for the led light that I am using. I think they were nutrient locked like mention from an above comment. One of my plants grew very fast, like twice the size of the others. It was a Purple Kush from crop king seeds. Then, about two weeks ago the fan leaves started to become brown and bitter working from the outside in. So I cut them off and it has new growth coming it. Last week I topped it. It was the Bottom left bucket in the video and has two new sprouts. Looking back that thing prob hasn’t grown in two weeks because of my bad judgement.
Purple Kush- Crop King Seeds The other three are Sour Girls from Crop King Seeds.
Sour Girl- Crop King Seeds The two girls are a month old and Girly is two weeks old. Girly grew faster, and will probably beat the other two shortly.
I haven’t been analyzed and altered the PH of the water, but have been filtering all water with a brita filter.
Temp is about 72. I built the grow room, with Liam boards, 1x1’s, 2x4’s, vinyl floor, caulk, and painting. (I install flooring, as a side gig.) Airflow is great, shower exhaust fan in bottom order for an intake. A circular fan, and a big ass carbon filter and exhaust fan. (Was planning on some big smelly buds. ) so I feel like my environment is clean, sterile, good temp, good lighting although maybe I did fry them by having them to close early on.
As far as the transplanting goes, there was white fuzzy roots all along all sides of the solo cups . Can I shove like a pizza box that is in circular/cylinder shape down into the soil to mimic a smaller pot and pull it up in a couple weeks, to keep the roots from (wandering.)
Should I germinate some more now because if they are actually flowering I might get four buds Or do you think these little guys can bounce back? I’ll post again to check in. I was trying to be as efficient and green thumb like to produce good high quality buds. But unsure about that outcome as of right now! Thanks for all the help and pointers everyone!
I was thinking about mars led. I still have a time, I came across that product in good price and probably powerful specification

A light like this, but I was wondering what the advantage was of making them vs purchasing the light? 1000 W
Whats your budget? I doubt they are many lights that will die in a few months, but there are some. Personally id go with a 1000w hps with a cool tube and carbon filter on it vented out a window. Really what matters is what your budget is like.
If your budget is limited to less than a few hundred dollars, this will work great

Dude, don't get the light with the ballast. It'll be hot and difficult to manage temperature, etc. You should use LEDs. Try ones like this one:
King Plus 1000w Double Chips LED Grow Light Full Spectrum for Greenhouse and Indoor Plant Flowering Growing (10w Leds) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0185OLBPK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xqPizb00PCJG9
This light is stronger, quieter, and cooler to operate. Your plants and electricity bill will thank you. It's also cheaper than the light with the ballast! Buy yourself an ice cream cone or something with the money you save. It's a good idea to get a 6 inch fan and carbon filters as well. Good luck!
