Just so people know, they can get every single game up to KH3 for like $30 although you need to spend an extra $20 to finish KH3. Melody of Memory came out a few months ago so it's still $60 (and it's also just a rhythm game). For those curious if it moves the KH plot forward at all, >!Kairi and Riku figure out Sora is in a world called Quadratum. If you need help figuring out the pun, it's Latin for "Square"!<.
Square-Enix want you to spend $230 for everything when it costs less than half that anywhere else, even on the PSN store.
And this isn't even examining how well the PC versions will run because Square-Enix doesn't have the best reputation as a publisher for PC ports.
Kingdom Hearts is complicated and I don't remember all the games, so I looked up an Amazon listing. Descriptions says, "Includes 10 Magical KINGDOM HEARTS series".
Wording is a bit weird, but that's what I based my claim off of.
Yes there is literally an All In One pacjage. It's $30 on amazon and just about any store you can buy games at:
Actually I'm referring to the "All-in-one" collection that includes kingdom hearts 3. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B084J45N4V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_4SVZX0ZQN0JSTWZPQ03Y
It's actually only 29.99 on Amazon. In my opinion they should of just made the games cheaper on PC. The dev work required for a pc port does not justify the crazy prices.
It's high, even in Australia terms when you consider this exists. There's literally an all in one collection on PS4 containing all these games for the price of one game...
Hey, I was curious if these two products are the exact same because the descriptions and names seem to be the same, but the prices are extremely different:
https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP0082-CUSA12031_00-COLLECTION300000
Actually, the names are the same.
Gamestop isn't the only place that sells the All In One. My local Walmart, as well as my Local Fred Meyer, and not AS local, but one city away, Best Buy, ALL have it in stock for like, $30 or less. You could try one of those stores. Or anywhere else that sells games that isn't JUST Gamestop.
If you absolutely can't find it at ANY store whatsoever, Here:
If for some weird reason, this also isn't an option, then yea, your next best option is to buy the Story So Far collection, as well as KH3 separately. If you somehow can't find it THOSE ways either, for some weird reason, your last option would be to be to find each one separately. Meaning 1.5+2.5 on it's own, 2.8 on it's own, and KH3 on it's own.
if you want to experience the full story, buy this

Hey all!
I haven't played KH since the sequel so I'm looking to get back into it and am a bit confused. I read the Newcomers FAQ and just wanted to clarify, so this collection for PS4 has the whole series and is the direct counterpart to the Integrum series for the switch right? I'm just thrown off because there's three buying options for the switch which I'm guessing are the first half, the second half, and then the Integrum is both halves put together, with the "All in one" package just being the same full copy as the Integrum but for the PS4?

I just wanted to make sure I'm getting the full story and I'm trying to do it for the best value so I'm guessing the PS4 collection would be the move? Thanks!
Wow you must of had to SCOUR the internet for that one

We get this question a lot so they actually made a guide for it on Rule 3. Posts like this are actually against the rules here since it's so common.
If you're going physical I would recommend the All in One collection on PS4
>why is he the most highly requested character for smash in every region?? I need to know.
Kingdom Hearts came from a concept that everyone though impossible and stupid, what if Final Fantasy meet Disney?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5b6NO3rD98
the idea of being able to travel through disney words and enjoy FF characters as cameos was unthinkable specially since back then we didn't have any FF crossover, seen Squall (FF8) and Cloud (FF7) fighting back to back was like a dream for fans, now days we have Dissidia and World of Final Fantasy but the hype is still there (F*** you KH3).

>So I am looking into playing kingdom hearts and I know it’s Disney, and I did like Disney as a kid but I’m not a kid anymore so I don’t really know if I can stomach a kids game nowadays.
something good about KH is that even if you don't like the story or setting, the games are still a lot fun to play, so don't worry about, being an adult has done nothing to stop me for enjoying Mario and Kirby, gameplay wise take a look:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzZoQH17ozw
the game is silly but that does not means it can not be serious when it wants, advice get this collection (it's also digital), KH is a saga so it's better to play them in relase order and this collection will give you all, but if you want just one then go with KH2:

you can not go wrong with Kingdom Hearts, the mix of Disney x Final Fantasy is something not one would've though but it works:
try getting the all in one package which have all the 10 games (I think they are 10).
Okami HD is another good one, it's kinda like Legend of Zelda, and it was my favorite game on ps2.
I am not that much of a fan but Dragon Quest perhaps?
Final Fantasy 9 still holds up quite well, or if you don't mind something more childish then World of Final Fantasy, (think of it like Final Fantasy pokemon with FF character as NPCs).
>It’s kind of the reason I never went with FF12 and have been hesitant on FF15.
FF12 will be hard to follow even if you focus on the main story only, since it's more about political intrigue, and FF15 it's a rather easy game, any side content will overpower you a lot, I think doing a story only walkthrough is very possible (it also has a prologue movie if interested), if you have a ps5 then you have it for free on PS+ Collection.

All the games in one package.
All there for you.
Me thinks you misunderstand... the prices are $40+ for each on PC versus being a total of $30 on PS4 brand new with a physical copy you could borrow, lend or trade.
The PC prices are supremely bad.
$60 for just kh3. Fuck that. The KH all in one package for ps4 cost $30
https://www.amazon.com/Kingdom-Hearts-All-One-Package-PlayStation/dp/B084J45N4V
So, let's see... the Kingdom Hearts games are finally coming out on PC, but:
They're exclusive (hopefully timed exclusive, though that still sucks) to Epic's inferior platform.
Their prices are ridiculous. 230 dollars for the full package, where as the PS4 equivalent (for comparison's sake) can be found at 25 dollars on the PlayStation Store and 30 dollars on Amazon right now.
There's a strong chance that the quality of these PC ports may ends up being subpar, just like the quality of other Squeenix PC ports such as Final Fantasy VI's, Chrono Trigger's (which was thankfully fixed, albeit only after 5 patches around half a year after its release), or of course, NieR: Automata's (which still hasn't seen a single patch addressing its issues ever since it was released).
The amount of time it took for these PC ports to come out after the release of their console counterparts should also be taken into consideration. Hell, the majority of this package contains remasters of several years old games.
To summarize: the prices don't feel fair, the store in which they're coming out is shoddy and there's a chance the ports end up being subpar.
It looks like a hard pass to me, honestly.
On the bright side, if these come out on Steam eventually, they're bound to be less buggy considering they'll contain whatever patches are made for the "Epic" version. I bet the prices will be fairer too.

Every game has at least SOMETHING that ends up in KH3- and I highly recommend playing them all- but if you're really just looking for the core stuff and are willing to accept there will be aspects you don't understand, you could probably get away with:

Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts II
Birth By Sleep
Dream Drop Distance
Kingdom Hearts III

It really will be gibberish without ALL of these. And the All-in-One Package has *everything* you need for Kingdom Hearts, including cutscene movies for 358/2 Days and Re:Coded (which are three hours each, and honestly very lovely). Chain of Memories will make a lot of things in KH2 make more sense and enhance the experience, but isn't *absolutely critical* (I think a lot of us played KH2 without knowing it existed and we turned out okay). That said, you could always watch a cutscene compilation on youtube if you don't feel like playing it- again, about three hours, and a very good story.
So if you're willing to watch some quality cutscene movies while only actually playing the core games, again, the All-in-One package has got you covered:

Kingdom Hearts
Chain of Memories (cutscenes on Youtube)
Kingdom Hearts II
358/2 Days (cutscene movie)
Birth By Sleep
Re:Coded (cutscene movie)
Dream Drop Distance
Kingdom Hearts III

That's probably the best way to get a "core experience" in an easy way. If after Dream Drop Distance, you're *really* feeling it, there's some other things you can dive into to enhance the experience of KH3 (0.2, KHUX, Back Cover, etc.), but you can look into that when you get there, and they aren't strictly necessary right now. Have fun!
