I've been using these since mid 2020. So far no issues. I forgot the youtuber that recommended them before, Spawnwave maybe? I switched from the Hori Split Pad Pro to these since it has gyro, rumble, and split/wireless capabilities.
I'm not sure if there are sellers in shopee but I remember seeing one without the branding.
Kevin Kension liked those.
Look around on Youtube for reviews. Just make sure they're wireless.
Binboks also have a following.
I've been using the Kinvoca Joycons for almost a year now. They still work pretty well.
So when my joy con broke I was disgusted by the price and bought a weird Amazon knock off but honestly they work great, and paying 30 bucks was better than giving Nintendo money for shitty controllers. Plus if I’m being honest I like the grips on them.

I've been using these since the beginning of the year. Still working and no drift.
The KINVCA Joy Cons man. So much better than the stock Joy-Con.
They're bigger, have a Dpad, NO DRIFT after months of owning it, and have all the features you need in a Joy-Con, minus NFC.
Here are some offbrand Joycons I've been using for a couple months. There's slightly bigger than the stock, but I have big hands and they feel very nice.
When it comes to playing docked, your options are basically limitless. Aside from the Pro controller with it's notoriously poor Dpad (which I'm going to attempt a mod on when I get around to picking one up), I'm a pretty big fan of the 8bitdo SN30 Pro+, which has a fantastic dpad for shmups and platformers. There's also hori controllers which have a nice Dpad as well.
An adapter like the Mayflash Magic-NS or the 8bitdo adapter is a fantastic investment if you have some extra PS3/4 or Xbox One controllers lying around. They work great and any input lag they add is quite minimal. I own both; If you're only gonna get one I'd recommend the Mayflash since it's a bit more versatile it seems.
When it comes to joycons I do agree that it's more of a mixed bag. There's the Hori dpad joycon, but that has the very obvious limitation of being wired-only, which basically gets rid of the possibility of using a flip-grip with it. Same with the split-pad pro. There's shell mods for joycons that earn't too bad to install, but I found the dpad to be just sort of "alright" at best on the Extremerate ones I installed.
Personally, I'm a fan of the dpad on these. Imagine the dpad on a 3DS, but a lot bigger. It's stiff and clicky, but very precise and responsive. I've never had any dropped or incorrect inputs on it. No idea how it'd fair for fighting games since I don't play them, but for shmups and platformers, I find it quite nice to use.
Chance the size, keep the rails. The Hori Split Pad and the KINVOCA pad have different shaped Joy-Cons but still fit on the console.
Link below. I know one reason a lot of third party controllers don't work for the game is the lack of motion controls required by the game. These controllers look like they have motion controller capability, and I'm curious if they'd work for Let's Go.

I have these, cheap and have rumble. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087CJYG2M/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_api_fab_p.mHFbF3SXP44
The problem with this is that there are no gyro/motion controls and no rumble. It is also handheld only.
There other alternatives that have gyro and rumble and can be used wirelessly. Something like this:
I haven't used this though so I can't comment on how good it is. Personally, I've been using this one for 2 years now:
I think this qualifies for delivery here as long as you reach $49
I'm a fan of these, personally. The dpad has a very strong pivot to keep you from pressing in the whole thing. It's very clicky and precise, somewhat like a 3DS dpad.

These are pretty good too. The dpad feels pretty close to typical Nintendo quality and they're quite comfy to hold. The analog sticks have some noticeable deadzones tho and the gyro is noticeably sluggish, but for just using on the flip grip, they get the job done.
I bought these and do not regret one bit, better sticks,.d pad and feels better to hold, more like a normal controller Kinvoca joy cons
Re: Joycon alternatives: Does anybody more knowledgeable on this kind of thing than me know, do these kind of things probably almost surely have the same guts inside?

There are several good reviews of these on youtube, including big names like spawnwave. However they're all linking to different brand names of what looks extremely similar Chinese joy-cons. one guy even had a link for three different color options, and each one of the links to you were all different brands.
I'm thinking these are probably all the same thing and different "manufacturers" are selling them and slapping their names in them. with that in mind, I should be able to pick up any one of them. Thoughts?
