Or if you want the small thing do it right: smaller, easier to clean, blade protection, direct line of force, 4 cheap components.
The product shown is a designer/architect’s solution. It’s meant to be pretty.
I'm of the opinion that children can help with any meal, but here's a couple of good hits with my niece/nephews (both 3 years old) have enjoyed learning how to make:
Quesadillas - they can add the cheese to the tortilla, filling, and fold, then I add it to the pan and we stand at the stove, occasionally shaking the pan to prevent sticking. When it comes time to flip, I hold the back edge of the spatula handle and we flip it together. The also help with making the meat, beans, and rice in this manner. Cutting is easy, I give them an encased pizza cutter similar to this. They have to cut with both hands on the handle to avoid potential cuts. They're constantly supervised, of course.
Homemade pizza/calzones - They can help mix and knead the dough, add all the ingredients for the sauce to the blender and pulse it, assemble the pizzas, and cut them.
Fresh pasta - They love cranking the pasta cutter.
Encourage your kids to learn at every opportunity, and they will grow up always wanting to learn more.
Bought one of these for like $12 which not only solved the problem this engineer was looking to solve because your pressure is exerted exactly over the axle but it comes apart for really easy cleaning.

Pizza joint I worked at didn’t have those giant rocking blades. They seem cool enough.
With the rolling cutter I have at home now the blade separates from the housing and is dishwasher safe. Easy.
I use one like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Kitchy-Pizza-Cutter-Wheel-Protective/dp/B019S3W8AO/

I don't eat pizza enough to have a curved blade thing, but I did get one of these and it's very easy to use. Just need pressure on top and comes apart easy for cleaning.
This one is the most ergonomic that I've experienced. https://smile.amazon.com/Kitchy-Pizza-Cutter-Wheel-Protective/dp/B019S3W8AO/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=pizza+cutter+wheel&qid=1622742878&sprefix=pizza+cu&sr=8-4
