Specifically Manuka honey is what I used topically.

I know it’s expensive but my friend who got it in NZ swears by this stuff and even though my OB was much more mild than hers, it was still well worth it in my opinion. It was soothing and helps it heal.

This is what I was referred to use specifically. My friend got it when she was traveling in New Zealand and said she couldn’t have imagined going through it without this stuff. I know it’s expensive but it might be worth it for when an outbreak occurs again (based on timing I hope yours has passed).
I used Manuka Honey on my sores. I was referred to it because of a friend who got herpes while traveling in New Zealand and that’s what they use and she swore by it. Said she couldn’t imagined not having used it. I know it’s expensive but it might be worth it based on how bad your OB is, I’m fortunate that mine was not that extreme but it was still horribly painful and the Manuka Honey soothed it. Mine is located offset to my actual vagina though, I’d be slightly wary of possible yeast infection if you put it directly in/on. Hers was directly on and she was fine. But also, yeast infection is nothing compared to herpes OB.
