I originally had the Quest battery strap which was fine, but like many other people, the cheap hard plastic strap eventually cracks and snaps. After that, I purchased the Kiwi strap and it made my Quest 2 significantly more comfortable. You can read the reviews yourself: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B098JTDPQC/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
When I shopped for a headstrap, I learned that the Elite is not actually a good strap.
BoboVR and Kiwi seem to be the 2 recommended ones. I bought the Kiwi but only because I didn't need more battery time. If battery were an issue, I would've gone with the Bobo
Yeah I am kinda struggling to get the best fit with the default strap for both comfort and clarity. Is this the right one? I don't really like the thought of spending another €44 on the headset but I suppose if it means its comfortable to wear
I've heard that the Kiwi strap is a great one.
I can't say that I feel like the elite cosmo was any better in terms of comfort, from what I remember. Index wins there out of the three. I did get the kiwi headstrap for my oculus, and I like that. Comfort comes down to head size/shape, etc and is personal though.
Just my two cents, buy the BOBOVR M2 on Amazon, and if you don't like it, return it and try the Kiwi strap instead. Personally, the BOBOVR strap made the headset too floppy, the back of the strap gave me a sharp pain in the back of my head, and the sides of the strap constantly rubbed against my ears. I have no problems with the kiwi strap though.
YMMV of course, people's heads come in a wide variety of shapes!
Just guessing..but is it giving you a headache due to the strap? Because that's a common complaint of it, it likes to hit pressure points. You can try an aftermarket strap like the this, can always return it, might solve your issue.
If you're gonna sell, better now then later when it's outdated.
I bought the BoboVR strap. After minor modifications, it was really comfortable. Unfortunately, the bands snapped in about 3 months. Recently bought the Kiwi Design strap. The weight is distributed differently than the BoboVR but is just as comfortable. The bands promise to be much more durable as well. It is a little more expensive. It is on sale right now for $43.98. I have been really happy with.
Not sure about grips, but I bought an aftermarket facial interface that works quite well. Took a while to adjust it. I do like accessories.
I got this one off Amazon. No issues.

I just changed my headband to a Kiwi. So much more comfortable (stops the headaches I was getting) but it also rebalances the weight so the headset no longer has any noticeable front-heavy weight.
I think you'll get a lot of people recommending this one. The Kiwi strap. I got it and it made the Quest a dramatically more enjoyable experience. It balances weight better, is comfortable, is easy to adjust, and is sturdy.
A company made this for the Oculus Quest2 as well (thankfully), night and day difference in terms of comfort compared to that terrible strap it comes with.

I would think so. But don't quote me on it. Do you have an aftermarket strap or the one that came with it? My after market strap is super comfortable and doesn't mess up my curly and fizzy-ish hair lol if you need a good strap this one is the one I have
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B098JTDPQC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_Q2Z0QEWQ7VSTVW2N867G
I might be confusing myself quite a bit here but, Is this the same one as the link you send? This is one the Dutch Amazon website:
https://www.amazon.nl/dp/B098JTDPQC/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_QYWMWECE71E09YPFSG1J
It doesn't show battery strap as one of the features, so that's why I am confused.
I bought this
I only recommend a carrying case if you’re actually going to carry your quest to other places than your home. I personally am not doing that, ever, so I don’t need it. If you’re going to do it then I highly recommend a carrying case just to be sure your quest won’t break
Personally as long as it's like really supervised and not for too too long there might not be too much of a problem but personally my nieces and nephews have seen me play and want to try but instead I cast it to my tv and I just listen to what they want me to do sometimes lol. But to get back to the main topic fr I love this headset it's a little pricy but so good tbh

I really liked how comfortable the official Elite Strap was, but as with a lot of people mine broke three times before I got frustrated and threw it away. Now I'm using Kiwi's Elite Strap and really like it. Only have had it since September, but haven't had any issues.
(Germany) Took me 10s to find this, 50€ + free shipping
The quest 2 is notoriously front heavy, have you tried using a different head strap?
Frankly the included strap feels like a facehugger putting pressure on the back of my head, so something that evenly distributes the weight is likely what you need.
Even one of my friends, whom of which I can toss like I'm a quarterback playing the funni ameri sport, he said a new head strap made all the difference.
~~I just want you to enjoy vr is all~~
I just got a kiwi replacement strap today and it is worlds better than the default strap. Padded cushion in the back and along the top of your head, crank the knob in the back to tighten or loosen.

Happy with it so far. I've got hair to my shoulders. Only thing I have issues with is my sweaty neck
The Kiwi strap is my favorite after trying both the Oculus Elite Strap (which broke on me) and the BoboMVR. The Kiwi strap is comfortable, really adjustable and fits pretty much any head size. Also a huge bonus if you add a counter-weight like a portable battery or an old cellphone like did to the back of it, really adds that extra amount of comfort.
Please, save yourself and don't get the bobovr strap. It feels super heavy to wear and creates a lot of forehead pressure. For a little cheaper, get this Kiwi Strap
Once i got this strap and added a counter-weight, it was pretty much the perfect strap. You can use practically anything small and thin as a counter-weight, i used an old cellphone of mine and some duct tape until i got some velcro straps. Highly recommend doing this!
I just got the kiwi design brand elite strap, the padding is more comfortable, and the 45°hing joint makes it so I can take off my headset with ease. I wear glasses so it's kinda a pain in the butt as I have to put my glasses into the headset first. This stap has mad it more convenient to use my quest 2 now.
I also suggest their knuckle grips as well.

KIWI's is another option in the same vein as this. Works really well and it's easier to fit headphones over compared to the more solid replacement options. Will make a note, though, that going this rough will press the headset a little harder into your face compared to others. Pros of this are that it'll maximize your fov (slight amount, but can be noticeable) and it'll minimize wobble that you'll get from halo or solid strap replacements. Cons is that it'll be a firmer seal that breathes much less and I find it much hotter. Depending on your face, and why it can increase perceived fov, it can press the lenses closer to your eyes, which can brush your eye lashes, eye brows, or like me, the freak that I am, jam the lenses directly onto your eyes (I need the glasses spacer no matter what).
I tend to switch back to my elite strap for longer, non-competitive shooter games where I won't be snapping my head around too quickly, and back to the elastic strap + KIWI's strap pad for more active games I won't be going too long on.
Also, KIWI -did- just release ae new strap, so few reviews on it yet, but looks promising. When they're not breaking, the elite strap is great, so seeing an elite strap clone with extra padding is pretty promising: https://www.amazon.com/KIWI-design-Upgraded-Enhanced-Support/dp/B098JTDPQC
Here is the amazon link, I dont know when it was listed but it seems fairly recently since it does say new release. Curious if anyone is willing to try it and compare to the other straps like the regular elite strap and the bobovr m2. And it's cheaper on amazon than on their own website for some reason
I have had the elite strap since 2020 and have not seen any cracks. I think some of them had a bad batch. I ended up buying another one for another headset.
But recently I saw this truck that I would love to get.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JTDPQC
The bulibovr head strap seems to have a lot of fans so I think it must be pretty good but design.
KIWI design has introduced in the Amazon details page, this item can compatible with their Battery Pack. I do not have this battery pack yet, but their picture looks pretty good... Am considering whether to have one, after all, my budget is not that much.... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JTDPQC
I just got this one and it's amazing: https://www.amazon.com/KIWI-design-Accessories-Enhanced-Support/dp/B098JTDPQC
Myself and a friend really love the Kiwi Design head strap. Very comfortable and easy to get on and off. And the price is great.

oh yes i would absolutetly love your input. For now i only added the KIWI elite strap (this one: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B098JTDPQC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) but any advice would be appreciated. Even if i dont buy all accssories right now, i might add some in the future depending on how comfortable it is.
This head strap is a must. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JTDPQC?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I can't speak for your experience, but I have both the Kiwi head strap and the silicone grips and they have held up really well and the fit and finish is fantastic and I've had none of the issues you're speaking about.
Is it possible you got early models? I would be jaded too I just have to speak from my experience and I'd buy them again without question.
Been using this for months and love it

KIWI version off amazon
The elite strap has a pretty bad reputation but i really like this https://www.amazon.com/KIWI-design-Accessories-Enhanced-Support/dp/B098JTDPQC And there's other alternatives as well.
I have spent more on accessories than I did on my headset. Here are some “essentials” if you want to have the best experience during long sessions using the Quest 2:
1)An elite head strap. I waited a month before I bought one and it was by far the best investment I’ve made for VR. Makes all the difference. This is my personal favorite but most are better than what they come stock Kiwi elite head strap
2) power bank with at least 10,000 mAh. Will allow you to play 6ish hours alone on just that power bank. From what I understand every 3,500 mAh equals to roughly 2 hours of play. I have an Otter brand 10,000 mAh “fast charge” power bank that I got at target on sale for $30. I absolutely love it.
3) Battery strap for that power bank to attach to the back of your elite head strap to add weight balance and keep cords from being everywhere. This one is my favorite and comes with everything including the cord to connect power bank strap
This charges fast enough to where the battery on my headset doesn’t drain rapidly while playing.
I have tried numerous link cables to try to charge while playing and my headset dies just as fast as if I am not charging. From the $80 Oculus link cable, to usb c to usb a link cables, from charging from the wall, to being plugged into a $4,000 computer, link cables have never charged my headset for some reason. Not sure if it’s some firmware or bad design or what. We are not the only ones either. Tons of people can’t get their headsets to charge via link cables. But wireless gaming with the 3 items I suggested above charges and I’ve played 6 hours straight many times.
Enjoy!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JTDPQC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This is not only more comfortable and makes putting the Oculus on and off easier, but also balances the weight much better.
This one, I don't think it can be rivalled for comfort.
The pivot is super handy too.
Here are the ones I purchased:
Head-strap: Headstrap
Hand-straps: Handstraps
I use an HTC Vive Deluxe Audio Strap that is connected through a 3D printed adapter. It works fine, but I suspect some of the newer custom-made pieces (like https://smile.amazon.com/KIWI-design-Accessories-Enhanced-Support/dp/B098JTDPQC/) are better.
Myself, my father and my brother all bought quests in the last year. One thing I can say for sure it's that the quest 2 is one of the most customizable things in the universe and getting accessories for it is an absolute rabbit hole.
You'll definitely need a better head strap because the one the quest comes with is really uncomfortable. My recommendation - $45
You'll definitely need a better face cover (the foam part that cups your face) because the one the oculus comes with is really uncomfortable - My recommendation - $48
If direct sunlight shines into the lenses on the oculus it will burn the screen. This is bad so it's nice to have a cover that shoves into the facehole when you're not using it. if you use a hard case to store it every single time you're not using it then you don't need this. My recommendation - $10
You should also keep in mind that the quest will only last about 2 hours on a full charge. I don't often play that long at a time but if your husband wants to jump on right after you then you then having a power bank attached to the headset can help. Also if you have only a small space to play in a VR mat can really help you not punch a wall or chair. Like I said.. it's a rabbit hole :P
These are the essentials in my opinion and they total an additional ~$100 on top of the cost of the quest.
I just ordered mine. Can't take the discomfort anymore.

I found this one most comfy and gives excellent battery performance.
Straps:
If you want an elite style strap,
Kiwi Design Elite Strap
or BoboVR m1 Pro as an alternative elite strap with hot swappable battery
If you want a Halo style strap,
BoboVR M2 Pro for Halo Style with hot swappable battery
Additionally you can get the M1 Pro retrofit kit to try out both the elite and halo style BoboVR straps. It also gives you two different kinds of back padding to see which one you like better.
Facial Interface:
If you like the stock facial interface, there's no reason to upgrade, but you should definitely use the free silicone cover that comes with it. If yours didn't come with the silicone cover, you can get Oculus to send you one for free. However, there are many different facial interfaces available. The one I use is the Fitness Facial Interface from VRCover. It's compatible with the stock and XL glasses spacer, and it has vents to prevent fogging. It's nice. The only thing I don't like about it is that the foam padding is thinner than the padding on the stock spacer, which brought the lenses closer to my glasses, which resulted in them getting scratched. If you don't wear glasses, that won't be a problem.
If you wear glasses:
If you wear glasses, the best thing you can really do is get an updated prescription, including your IPD, and then get some prescription lens inserts. If you can't do that for some reason, you can get the Kiwi Design Anti-Scratch Ring Protector and the VR Cover XL Glasses Spacer. The ring protector has a curved design that prevents your glasses from coming into contact with the lenses, while also ensuring that it takes up as little space as possible. There are other designs but they all suck. The XL spacer helps add a little more room to make things more comfortable. Depending on the facial interface you're using, and the shape of your nose and face, it might not be necessary, but it's a good thing to have and is relatively cheap. The XL Spacer is also only compatible with facial interfaces that are compatible with the stock glasses spacer. It's currently out of stock on amazon in the US, but might be back in stock later.
Batteries:
If you don't get a strap with built-in battery you will probably want an external battery. I can't recommend a specific one, but they will all probably work. I can recommend a cable, though. For USB A to USB C, this is a nice, affordable 1.5 foot cable from UGREEN. I checked their similar USB C to USB C cables and they're a minimum of 3 feet which may be a bit long for having a quest 2 battery strapped to the back of the headset. As for strapping the cable to the headset, really any 8 inch "hook and loop"(velcro) straps should work. You can get 100 for 12 usd of the Velcro brand, but it really doesn't matter.
Controller grips:
Some people swear by controller grips, and with good reason because it can upgrade the feel and comfort of using the controllers, and more importantly it can make it more difficult to drop or damage them. However, I chose a much cheaper option which was to use the 8 inch hook and loop straps I already had. It's hard for me to describe how I made the straps, but it wasn't especially difficult. However, I did have to redo them one time, because there was a flap that was scratching my hand. I used two straps and wrap strap around the the tracking loop and the other strap around the cord that goes around your wrist. Then I join the straps in the middle. The soft side should be facing in, toward your hand. Here's a picture: https://i.imgur.com/j2byHl6.jpg There's an alternative method outline in this video: https://youtu.be/VHwvo-2CTk8?t=92
Yeah, it appears to be unavailable on Amazon right now. I bought one from Amazon on Feb 28th, but the product page I used is no longer showing. I'm guessing they're out of stock at the moment. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B098JTDPQC/

I found this one most comfy and gives excellent battery performance.
I've had the Quest 2 since launch and haven't broken the controller even though I've punched hard objects a few times. The controllers are exceptionally sturdy, but the thumbsticks are prone to drift if you play anything that requires you to click down on sticks frequently. Stick drift is fixable or you buy a replacement controller (I did). The default strap is very uncomfortable since it places all the weight on your face which caused headaches for me. something like this strap would be much better.
Isn't it this one? https://www.amazon.com/KIWI-design-Accessories-Enhanced-Support/dp/B098JTDPQC/ I see it in stock...
I got my Quest 2 around 2 weeks ago so some of it is still fairly new to me, but I decided I wanted some of the accessories but I didn't want to buy any of the official gear so I figured I'd list what I got:
KIWI head strap - I kept seeing this one pop up when looking for a nice, cheaper headstrap and I find it very comfortable, though I haven't tried the official one. This one does NOT have a battery with it. I opted for this one since I heard you could just attach a power bank at some point. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B098JTDPQC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
SARLAR carrying case - Finding a case was pretty annoying since I went for an unofficial head strap but this one fits the KIWI specifically pretty well and it came with a bunch of random stuff: Wall hooks to hold/display your Quest and controllers, lens cover, Velcro cable, micro fiber cloth and controller grip stickers (Not the best grips but eh, I kind of like them.)
I will say I've only had this case for like two days so I haven't tried travelling with it or anything. If you do decide to get the KIWI strap and this case it's worth noting that you have to take the back pad of the kiwi off and lay it in the middle since it's a bit hard to zip otherwise, but it doesn't seem like too much of a bother. I can try to provide a picture or something if needed lol.

Other than the accessories, there were a few fun things that I discovered in some of the settings as well as some other tips.
- Handtracking: Settings, Device, Hands and Controllers and enable the hand tracking as well as the auto switch. This was really neat. It registers your hands and you can browse videos and minor stuff like that without the controllers.
- Double tapping your headset to enable "Pass Through" mode: Setting, Experimental Features, Pass-through shortcut. Pass-through lets you see your actual surroundings so it's very helpful to be able to double tap the side of your Quest and see it quickly.
- Measure your the distance between your pupils. (IPD). The Quest lenses have 3 space settings and you change those by gently shifting them together or apart. This can help your vision a lot.
So, yeah. I figured I'd share some of this stuff since I honestly drove myself a bit crazy, especially trying to find budget accessories. I also recommend checking out some YouTube videos for other "tips and tricks"
Hopefully some of this is helpful!
I have spent hundreds of dollars trying out different accessories and hours upon hours researching. I decided to make a list of what I believe are “necessary” accessories to enhance the Quest 2 experience. So to save you time and money…
1)An elite head strap. I waited a month before I bought one and it was by far the best investment I’ve made for VR. Makes all the difference. This is my personal favorite but most are better than what they come stock Kiwi elite head strap
The other I would suggest is the Bobovr M2 with pro battery pack . It’s the “other” head strap to consider. A lot prefer the Bobovr M2 over Kiwi, but not me. There is a magnetic battery pack on the M2 and made specifically for that head strap. It’s 5,200 mAh which is more than the battery in the Quest 2, I believe it is around 3,500 mAh, so you’ll get around 5 hours of play total between the two. You can buy an extra battery made for the M2 but they’re expensive for how many mAh it is.
2) power bank with at least 10,000 mAh. Will allow you to play 6ish hours alone on just that power bank. From what I understand every 3,500 mAh equals to roughly 2 hours of play. I have an Otter brand 10,000 mAh power bank that I got at target on sale for $30. I absolutely love it.
3) Battery strap for that power bank to attach to the back of your elite head strap to add weight balance and keep cords from being everywhere. This one is my favorite and comes with everything including the cord to connect power bank strap
4)knuckle grips. They make such a huge difference. I will never not have a nice set but even cheap ones work well. My favorite are these… Some smell, or feel hard or hurt your hand but these are perfect IMO knuckle grips
5)a soft lenses cover to protect those delicate lenses from scratches, light damage, dirt, etc. very inexpensive and prevents your headset from becoming useless if damaged. My favorite soft lenses protector
6)controller protector to prevent damage from hitting walls/ceilings/objects. Way too often controllers are broken. They are $70 a piece, always sold out and on eBay sell for around $140…not needed but a huge help and can help save you lots of money. The ones I use controller protector
7)not needed but earbuds make the experience amplified. Get some that connect directly into the headset. Bluetooth always has a delay for me no matter what I try.
I like the Kiwi head strap
I made a list of so called “must haves” about a week or so ago to share with new users to help them out. I have spent hours researching and hundreds of dollars buying different ones to try out. So to save people time and money…

I have spent more on accessories than I did on my headset. But I do find some a must have if you are intending on playing on a regular basis:

If you have questions feel free to ask. I absolutely love VR and everything associated.
I see a comment basically said people were going to recommend it, so I'm going to take the bait.
This headstrap is my favorite accessory for Quest:

i have the Kiwi Head Strap and it’s awesome. It has an adjustable knob and everything , super comfortable.

https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B098JTDPQC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_Q2Z0QEWQ7VSTVW2N867G
I got this on on day 1 because that strap that comes with it is crap honestly unless you're a child lol
Mine recently just broke also. I just ended up getting an upgraded head strap from kiwi. It's so much better than the stock one.
I've been using the Kiwi strap and it's pretty comfortable!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JTDPQC

Also, I mostly use Airlink, but I also have this cable and it's worked pretty well for me.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FVCNX14
You definitely don't need the official cable to get the job done, but the important thing is to make sure you get a good cable that suits your individual needs. For instance, this one wouldn't be a good choice if you needed USB-C to USB-C.
The stock strap doesn't work for everyone either, so you may want to look into another option. I'm using the Kiwi strap and it's pretty comfortable!
Is this the strap you have?
KIWI design Head Strap for Oculus/Meta Quest 2 Accessories Elite Strap for Enhanced Support and Comfort in VR https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JTDPQC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_Z1ZAAVPPVPCVFZDTP064
If you're still using the original headstrap that came with the Oculus, I highly recommend upgrading. I got this one & it's so much more comfortable & it doesn't slide off mid-workout.
I've tried 3 straps / accessories: the official elite, the Kiwi elite, and this AMVR pressure balance accessory that attaches to the original strap.
I think the Kiwi elite is the best one by a long shot, and have about 50+ hours with it so far. Zero complaints and it works perfectly for me.
The official elite is very similar, with a thinner strap along the top of your head (the kiwi has a nice soft foam strap) - but is noticeably less durable, and lacks the tilting feature found with the Kiwi.
The AMVR accessory is also FANTASTIC for the price. I have about 20+ hours with it so far and love it for different reasons. It's nice and simple, and feels very comfortable during long sessions. Noticeably less pressure on the face than with standard strap. Only negative is that when sharing with others - you'll need to adjust the strap, unlike the Kiwi and official elite's knob tightening functionality.

TLDR:
If you're looking to save a buck - I'd highly recommend the AMVR accessory.
If you have a little more to spend - I'd go with the Kiwi elite any day.
The official elite is lacking IMO and the priciest of the bunch - go figure.
For what it offers, the Quest 2 is the best value you will find. There's nothing even close in price. The reverb G2 is close but, you need a gaming PC to drive it.
That said, under no circumstances do I recommend the Quest 2 without at least the after market strap. Even if you just went for one of the cheaper Kiwi straps on amazon. The better strap is mandatory for comfort..... To put it into perspective, I have been playing VR for a long time and have easily sunk over 2000hrs in other headsets. From Friday 01/28 to Sunday 01/30, I played Zenith: The Last City for 24hrs.... Yet, within 30 minutes of playing with the Quest 2 stock strap, I have to take a break. It hurts my head and my face.
The extra battery is really going to be dependent on you. Some people only like to use VR for 30min at a time, where as others like to use it for 5hrs a time. If you fall into the first category, the extra battery is a waste. If you fall closer to the second category, the extra battery is a must.
It's probably this one. I got one recently and it's so much better.
Since the Bobo M2 strap is sold out currently in Amazon, I think the next best is the Kiwi Strap: https://www.amazon.com/KIWI-design-Accessories-Enhanced-Support/dp/B098JTDPQC
I recommend this headstrap https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JTDPQC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Just get this along with an third party pill battery or even a portable charger in your pocket

Also, I have this one without the battery and like it : https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B09JNR4Y15/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_TQA7HY5VZEK416YSDGJ7
I bought the kiwi elite strap & planning on buying the powerbank that lasts for 8hrs gaming & 10hrs streaming to attach to it. I've noticed that the strap is now out of stock, but it's an absolute necessity! If the default strap that came with the oculus is a 3/10, the kiwi one is 12/10! I have no issues with it at all and its extremely comfortable with the extra cushion for the back of your head.
This is the strap: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JTDPQC?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
This is the battery one: https://rebuffreality.com/products/vr-power-2?ref=hackernoon.com
Should I get this bundle https://www.amazon.com/KIWI-design-Accessories-Enhanced-Support/dp/B098JTDPQC I really like the idea of having a lens protector or should I just get the standalone strap?
i have a very big head and for me it is very comfortable (i tried multiple headsets and straps). Glasses are more of an issue for your facial interface. I bought a cheap second pair of glasses with a thin, harry potter style round frame. I also use the vrcover facial interface (biggest boost to comfort imho, even more than a 3rd party strap) and in order to protect my lenses from touching my glasses i have the AMVR glasses spacer.

Try the kiwi strap on Amazon. Got it for my son for Christmas and he loves it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JTDPQC

I have the Kiwi elite with a power bank attached and really like it. It is super comfy with thick cushioning and lightweight. Some other people like the BoboVR Halo style head-strap (they have one with and without a built-in removable battery).

I just ordered the Kiwi elite strap a few minutes ago. It looks like the Oculus elite strap with extra cushioning and hinges at the part of the arm where the Oculus one breaks. I have a cpl other kiwi accessories and I've been happy with them so far so I'm hoping I'll feel the same about this head-strap.
Another head-strap a lot of people rave about is the BoboVR M2. It's a Halo style head-strap that some prefer. They have a new version with a battery attachment that looks pretty cool.

KIWI design Head Strap for Oculus... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JTDPQC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I'm new and just got my Quest a few days ago! But let me share some of the wisdom I've found while researching over the last month or so:
> For best use do you all recommend the upgraded face strap, is it worth it?
I've seen people here recommend getting one for comfort; the official "elite" strap has issues of snapping, but comes with a 2 year warranty. Another popular one, and the one I ordered, is the Kiwi brand elite strap: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B098JTDPQC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00 -- mine should be here next week, I can let you know how I like it after it comes. For the two nights I've used my new Quest 2 so far, the strap that comes in the package hasn't been that bad for me.
> In order to link to my (powerful) PC do I need to buy an Oculus cable and which one?
Recently there was an update that allowed wireless linking, so you can save money by going that route -- especially if you already have a 5ghz broadband router. I am planning to try it out for the first time tonight, assuming I get off work at a reasonable hour. https://www.oculus.com/blog/introducing-oculus-air-link-a-wireless-way-to-play-pc-vr-games-on-oculus-quest-2-plus-infinite-office-updates-support-for-120-hz-on-quest-2-and-more/
> Do you recommend any other accessories such as a case or docking station?
I bought a case for mine; having been an owner of PSVR for a long time, I strongly suggest at least getting some sort of lens cover for while it is not in use. I think the docking station looks handy, but the controller's AA's are said to have a long life, and the headset is easy enough to charge in my case. Case I bought: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B095XVQNWX?th=1 -- comes with lens covers that are kinda thin, but will keep sun and dust off the lenses.
Ok so I will give you a list of the accesories that are most used with the quest 2 and a few of the bests options in my opinion:
Headstrap: The Headstrap is for making the quest sit more comfortably in your head, this is basically a mandatory accesorie because the stock headstrap is basically trash (even tho some people find it really comfortable)
In terms of options for a headstrap there are basically only 2 that are worth the money and only 1 you should get
Kiwi design upgraded elite strap $40 in Amazon Is basically an elite strap but better, cheaper and won't break after 1 month of use. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JTDPQC/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_RY7YSV12TRTV2GA5VR8N
Bobovr m2 pro $60 in Amazon this is an upgraded version of the non pro version, more comfort, more quality and includes a 5200maH battery that is hot-swapable and requires no mod to install (it uses magnets) for the value this offers is easily the best strap in the market right now by a mile (as long as you like a halo strap) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09JNR4Y15/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_6DG9H2F49Y6H9C07QN3S
The elite strap is not reccomended it has been breaking like crazy.
Controller grips: This are little belts that secure your hand to the controller and give you a better grip and also allow you to completely let go of the controllers to rest your hands and also inmerse you further into VR
Vr Cover grips $30 in Amazon (right now in sale for $20) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08L8RXP7C/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_EBXDYFXWTKGNBRMERBWT
Kiwi pro grips $24 in Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PP8SW2S/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_DPMFJA84DFGDA3ZC3M35?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
There is also one from AMVR but i've heard a lot of people saying the quality does not compares to the others. Look for reviews in Youtube they will give you a lot of insight in how the feel and what are the differences.
Those are what I would say are the essentials for someone who is starting, you could also add a facial interface in that case go for VR Cover as they are very good in interfaces.
You might want to look into getting a better strap. The [Kiwi Design Elite]https://www.amazon.com/KIWI-design-Upgraded-Accessories-Enhanced/dp/B098JTDPQC/) and BoboVR M2 are quite popular. Bob has a Pro model coming out soon with a removable battery. However, if you wait to save some money you can just use some velcro strips and attach a USB battery on the back of the straps.

Most of the ones I see are the regular elite strap, and while I've seen a few, seems to be much less common for the Elite Strap + Battery like mine. Have had it since release and been going strong. I'm sure it'll give eventually, but I'd suggest looking at this as an option for non-battery: https://www.amazon.com/KIWI-design-Upgraded-Enhanced-Support/dp/B098JTDPQC
Brand new product, so if unsure you can give it awhile while more reviews come in and people test its durability more.
Just don't use the elite strap! Kiwi just made a elite strap, which doesn't snap because it's elastic. here is the link for it if you're wondering...
Been eyeing this new one as a possible replacement if anything happens to my current. Looks comfy and KIWI's pretty trustworthy. https://www.amazon.com/KIWI-design-Upgraded-Enhanced-Support/dp/B098JTDPQC
KIWI also just released an Elite Strap clone that looks very comfortable. https://www.amazon.com/KIWI-design-Upgraded-Enhanced-Support/dp/B098JTDPQC
It is best if you cut you link just before the /ref= so do not use your tracking data.

I still have my Elite with battery and no cracks.
I wish they could make something like this for the extended battery built in.
Ordered this today and I already have a non-broken launch Elite strap.
