And I never heard about igorslab ^^ I don't understand why the XMG support, doesnt list all websites/communities they look after for on their official website. On the support section they only refer to Reddit, which is cool, but makes it harder for germans who are not english-speaking.

interesting read about the battery! I didnt know about that and I will change the settings in the XMG Control center and cap the charging limit to 80%. Thanks for the advice.

Yesterday I had some time for gaming and tested some of Toms recommendations:

I used balanced mode and slightly lowered the graphic settings in COD Warzone. I also capped the fps to 60. And the temperatures were really good, relatively to Enthusiast mode. I reached 85 degrees, but thermal throttling was on, but I didnt notice any performance drops... I didnt test it without the cooling pad. As mentioned above, I didnt have any temperature change while playing in Enthusiast mode with this cooling pad. But somehow it feels safer with the cooling pad on :D doesnt make sense, I know ^^

also, the cooling pad fits 100% the bottom of the laptop. The other two mentioned above are way bigger.

So as a result: I will do gaming in balanced mode only from now on. But Im still eager to lower the temperatures a little further, thus i will do UV next week. I will report here if anything changed.

I tried various cooling pads and none of them worked while gaming (Enthusiast mode).

Doing office work in silent mode, my temperature dropped maybe 2-3 Degrees. So I dont recommend buying one. Nevertheless, I really dont understand why they dont have any effect...?! Even the big fan, which is covering the whole bottom of the laptop does not change anything temperature-wise...
