That's a good way to get started :)
I also use an ESD-safe / insulated set of what they call electrician's installation pliers that basically cover what your Kleins are - they're much nicer for cutting, but really they're meant for someone slinging outlets all day...

Yes it is very small and convenient
For how complicated the mechanism is there is no slop or wiggle, its built well, and i abuse it frequently. It has a serrated blade, a rather good file, a Philips driver, a flat driver, and you can unscrew the adjustment knob and use hex screwdriver bits.
I use it to hold odd sized fasteners and remove stripped screws, and it has not let me down so far.
Its worth the price, especially if you can get it on sale.
Also knipex makes a nice belt pouch, pliers wrench/water pump pliers kit for around the same price, if you are looking for something a little faster and heavy duty i would check those out.

I bought this set recently.
Common sized nut drivers. I think this is a great idea
Buy this kit!

Knipex is one of the only brands that I will absolutely shell the money out for and have. I don't care about Snap-on, Matco, etc. I'm a commercial aircraft mechanic for a major airline. I carry this on my hip at work along with a Leatherman. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B009RXXZI0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_0EA8FX2TQSHKZXBT04AM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I purchased the 6 inch Cobra to match the larger pliers as the included is too small for most things I use it for. I use this set nearly daily. The mini Cobra's are perfect for aircraft Cannon plugs even though I have the Knipex Cannon plug pliers as well.
I have the larger 10 inch of both, lineman pliers, needle nose, and dikes as well. Those dikes are still sharp as hell like new 4 years after I bought them.
The only other specialty tool I also recommend to people is a pair of Vampliers. They can pull screws out of tight spots and other stuff better than my Cobra pliers usually.
Welcome to the Knipex addiction.
These two things, a flashlight and your utility knife of choice will get you started:

The knipex channel lock pair that come in the pouch are amazing and the best $70 I ever spent, even if it is pricey (and last time I checked they're actually $85.) I carry that and a little bucket boss pouch that only has two little loops in it. One loop has a decent flathead, the other has a bit driver and an old crappy flathead I just use for picking/prying/poking. Inside the actual pouch I keep gloves, a small flathead for terminal strips or prox sensitivity adjustments, a 1/4, 5/16, and a 3/8 bit, a phillips bit, and whatever crap I'm currently dealing with if there's no good place to set down hardware during a disassembly. The pouch is also constantly collecting odd washers, fasteners, pieces of wire insulation, and tiny bits of trash. The bit driver always has a certain allen bit, and my Kershaw knife i carry in my back pocket has four bit holding slots that also hold allen bits.
All of that with my radio, keys, lock, hasp, and flashlight are a nice medium-lightweight setup. Getting used to the pouch and dealing with pockets, sitting, and moving in tight spaces is a lot. I end up having to throw all that crap down sometimes when climbing or crawling. If you try to without doing that you're likely to lose stuff from the pouch.
Edit: Knipex Set
Kershaw Knife. It holds a good edge if you know how to sharpen and take care of it.
Also, I love this fucking flashlight.
