Hi there! :) If she is sentimental, one of my favorite gifts to give people is like a cute little book about what you love about them! Something like this!
If you want to kick it up an extra notch, I also usually do those really cheap collage prints at CVS Pharmacy or Walgreens. I’ll find a whole bunch of pictures of the individual I’m making the gift for, myself with that individual, or pictures of things we’ve done together / relate to what I write in the book and put them into the “collage” prints. I’ll cut out the pics from the “collage” and then paste them throughout the book. :) The prints at CVS are only a few cents and usually they have some sort of coupon or promo code also so it’s even cheaper to get the photos made lol. But yes, sorry for such a long answer! Hope this helps and happy birthday to your girlfriend!! Y’all take care! :)
Seconding the dinner date at home idea. The effort that goes into cooking and making it special at home is waaay more romantic than a night out during a pandemic. Splurge some money on flowers, candles, pretty placemats and napkins etc and she’ll be swooning!
Plus fill in one of these for brownie points.
I have a similar issue. I had my partner fill out this little book. I keep it in my purse. I have only looked a couple of the pages so far. I save it for when I really need it. Just knowing it there is usually enough.
You should name the kinds of things that he’s into.
How about a gift card for a massage, Whether it’s from you or a place. Nice boots. One of those posters with the stars from the night you guys got together. If he has a pet, one of those portraits with the pet head and fancy bodies. There’s this really adorable little book on Amazon, you fill it out yourself, I have done this for family members, friends, and my boyfriend. https://www.amazon.com/Knock-What-Love-About-Journal/dp/1601064934/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=love+book&qid=1632874798&sr=8-4
HI wanted to get a cute little book like this for Valentine's day so I can fill it in with things about Wifey, but anything I find that's remotely cute is out of stock and ships within a couple months. There's the why you are awesome but it's not that romantic... My fault for being so late.. There are cute illustration ones like this one but being we are in a girl only relationship, I dunno how I feel about it. I mean I'm not anti man or anything, just don't wanna give wifey a book about how much I love her, and have a man drawing on it xD Also we already have this one and I also already made her one from lovebook.com a couple years ago.. soo yeah. If you guys have any ideas, even if it's not from amazon, (but amazon.ca I have prime so I know I can get it quick) I mean if I don't find I'll probably do something homemade, so, any ideas for the crafty ones out there? I have a printer with a lot of ink, so printables are a thing. And I am crafty but not good so... hahaha help a girl in need ! <3 /u/watsoned no I hadnt seen it! It looks pretty cute, ever ordered it?
Look at redbubble for cool t-shirts.
For his writing I would get him some writing prompts try Amazon http://www.amazon.com/s?k=writing+prompts+for+adults&crid=2R917IS0Z1H1F&sprefix=writing+pr&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_2_10
For the reasons why you love him https://www.amazon.com/Knock-What-Love-About-Journal/dp/1601064934?crid=3P2X1KL2IX5ZZ&keywords=what+i+love+about+you&qid=1533216382&sprefix=what+i+love+&sr=8-1-spons&ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa&psc=1
My fiance and I enjoy writing and receiving hand-written letters, but I agree that sometimes it is hard to come up with things to write! I'm not exactly the most creative writer, so I did a little research online for ideas to get my creative juices flowing.
For this past Valentine's Day I wanted to give him something special and personalized, so I printed out these "Open When" letter envelope templates on some sticker paper, bought a pack of plain cards and envelopes from the craft store, and then wrote about 10 different letters about something related to the different themes listed. For some of the letters, I included small gifts that would fit inside of the envelopes, like photos or cute printouts. For example, for the "Open when you miss me" letter I got one of our pictures together printed on a magnet (through Shutterfly) and included it with a note I wrote. For the "Open when you can't sleep" letter I included a few bags of chamomile tea. A lot of people out there are much more creative than me and have fashioned their own envelope designs, but the template was perfect for me because design is not my forte.
Also useful for you might be 101 Open When Letter Topics and 52 Free Love Note Writing Prompts from LDR Magazine, which list a lot of ideas for letters! They also have a great section of downloadable freebie printables, perfect for people in long distance relationships.
My absolute favorite gift that I've gotten from my fiance (besides my gorgeous engagement ring), was this What I Love About You book. What's neat is it is filled with 50 short sentences/promts, that you customize by filling in your own answers. It was so sweet to read through all the nice things my fiance wrote about us and our future- I keep it by my bed to read when I miss him or am feeling down. The prompts are helpful because they allow room for creativity and personalization, without you having to do all the creative work but the result is still a super thoughtful gift.
