Not in the class so I’m not entirely sure if this is exactly what you’re talking about, but here’s a staple-free stapler . Other staple-free staplers are available.

This looks like it has the same pattern!
Crimper would be confused with the tool used to connect wires.
Even a paper crimper is already used to create patterns for scrapbooking.
For now, the industry seems to have settled on stapleless or staple-free stapler
This is what you're looking for. Same brand, different model than the one already posted.
If you are unable to return them, a Harinacs press or similar crimping tool might be the only way you'll be able to use them up. You won't be able to fold them for the larger Chemex sizes.
Or buy a Funnex to use them up.
