Here is an example of what a motorcycle u disc lock looks like.
These are used to attach chains to the frame or disc rotor of motorcycles.
They don't have removable wafers, so they can't really be re-keyed (as far as I know, an I think I am using the right words.) so they have to be made with the same key from the factory.
Thanks for any help.
I've decided that for my 2012 Honda CBR250R, I'm just gonna go with a cover and disc lock set up for going to work. I have a garage for home.
I'm wondering what lock to get. I don't really mind spending a decent amount on a lock as long as it's good, I think this combo of cover and a good disc lock is pretty good for the convenience.
EDIT: I was thinking about getting something like this for the front wheel, and a lock like this for the back wheel. Maybe this instead of the second Kyrptonite for the back.
It's a plain ol' pain in the ass, but I've started using this. The bright orange leash goes up and around your throttle grip, and makes it real clear you're gonna have to hotwire the bike and find an angle grinder to cut that lock off the disk on the front wheel. Then if I'm parked overnight, I throw one of these onto the back wheel and lock it, too. I figure I can't stop a pro with tools and time, but I can make that bastard earn it.
*edit: This looks interesting, but I've never tried one.
