Cheers mate I'll check them out.
Now don't laugh (well you can if you want) here's what I've got.
This is my axe. It was bought at least 10 years ago.
I have the Essentials version of Reason 8, a Nexus 5 smart phone and this gaming headset.
I play guitar riffs clean through the bass amp (not a good idea I know but I don't have a lead amp), record them by laying my phone in front of the amp and then add distortion in Reason 8.
Vocals I record using the headset at one end of the room and me with my back turned at the other end yelling loudly.
I double the guitar track and turn it into a bass track but it's really only their to cover up my playing ability :P
Cheers for the advice mate! Yeah the drums are a tricky point at the moment but I'll work on it.
As for the guitar recording, you'll laugh but here is my setup.
Guitar - Bought second hand about ten years ago but never played.
Bass amp - (Yeah I know terrible Idea but it's all I've got.)
I play my guitar riffs clean through the bass amp with my phone laying on the ground about 5 inches in-front of the amp. Then I transfer them into Reason 8 Essentials and use the Line 6 guitar amp, Scream 4 (something or other) and an M-class equalizer to create the tone. Also I don't have a clue what I'm doing so I'm doing it by ear haha. Sorry for leading you to believe I have proper mics.
The sound I'm going for is somewhere between new-school Darkthrone, Early Celtic Frost and Motorhead. (Eventually anyway).
