Also, as far as towing capacity goes, I looked it up and couldn't find the Spacio specifically but Yaris were 300 kg and most models of Corolla were 400 kg, so if you had a hitch installed you could pull a very light trailer or easily handle something like this:

As you can see from my picture My old corolla wagon with 1.6 l engine had both a roof rack and a hitch mounted carrier, and I certainly exceeded the gvwr with all the cargo inside (was moving a lot of heavy metal tools), but I just drove slowly and left myself lots of room to stop and things went well.
