That is a great idea! personally I went ahead and learned it just to talk to my neighbor once in a blue moon but it has helped me immeasurably in other situations where people don't seem to know what to do when someone is signing at you (I live near a large deaf school area and most don't realize it) Learning American Sign Language: Levels I & II--Beginning & Intermediate (2nd Edition) https://www.amazon.com/dp/0205275532/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_RIQ8vbM27G5J6 Is the book you want btw it's found much cheaper in other places (hell if you want to get with me in pm I can look for my old college copy and maybe send it along) also a language, specifically a niche language looks amazing on a resume.
