I would say no! I have a 2021 standard range + (RWD) and didn't have an issue with it last winter.
Some advice:
I charge on a Nema 6-20 20Amp circuit pulling roughly 16 amps for ~10 miles an hour of charge. Works great for us - will charge 20-80% overnight-ish, and we rarely need that.
We have the Lectron charger which comes as a Nema 6-20 plug - but there are also adapters out there to convert to Nema 6-20. What confused me was what adapters were 'allowed' or if the chargers are smart enough to only pull the right amount of power....either way - works well for us.

I have a NEMA 6-20 already installed in my garage. Would this be a good solution for the R4P 6.6kw? Lectron 240V 16A Level 2 EV Charger with 21ft Extension Cord J1772 Cable & NEMA 6-20 Plug https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B079NTXNK7/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_SQDT288WRQE13B8TXCTP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I’m currently using a 16a Level 2 charger that can be very portable and is about 2-3x faster than the 120v charger. I am upgrading this week to a 48a Wallbox Pulsar Plus to allow for faster charging.
The 16a L2 portable models are available on Amazon for $199

Balls I can't read. Duh, sorry.
A lot of owners have these. They do both L1 & L2. You'll need this and the $13 adapter in the "frequently bought together" section. They used to come bundled but looks like they make it a separate item now instead of raising the base price of the EVSE itself.
The cord is nice and long. I've had mine for almost 4 years, no issues.

A ton of owners have one of these. They are generic and sold in multiple places and under multiple names. The most popular one was Duosida but I think that's unavailable now. I've had one for almost 3 years and it works great. Does L1 and L2 out of the box. Long cord. Highly recommend.

and you'll need a 220v L2 charge cable like this. They're pretty generic, and there are zillions out there with different features.
It depends on how fast you need to charge.
Do your frequently go out once then return home for several hours or longer ? In that case a low cost 16A / 3.8KW charger would work fine, probably a full recharge would be around 4 hours or less. I got this charger for our Kia Niro PHEV for $149 (like new / open box) from amazon.

Or pay a little more for a 32A 7KW charger to cut the charging time to around 2 hours. Install would cost more for a 40A or 50A circuit vs a 20A. Going over a 32A charger isn't necessary since that's the cars max charge rate, you could install a 40 or 50A unit but the charge speed would be the same. Unless you wanted to buy a full EV later, then you could keep using that same charger and get good charging speeds.
It IS a Lectron. Good to know. It did say UL in the listing though: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079NTXNK7?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Luckily I can still take it back.
What your panel can likely handle is a 20A 240v setup, like this: https://www.amazon.com/LECTRON-Level-Charger-Extension-J1772/dp/B079NTXNK7
I've had a different branded version of this for a couple years with good luck. Long cord, can do L1/L2.
