This is similar to what I have. I don’t have bannerlord but I’m sure it would run it.

Check this the only bad thing is it's low memory but that should be the only bad thing about it Hope you get what you want mate :)
How about this
Has 6 cores 12 threads.
1660ti for more than medium to heavy gaming. (I have a laptop with 1660ti)
Plays all games maxed out, and it has 144hz?
Should do everything that you want it to do in photoshop, video editing, and gaming.
Recently did an absolute ton of research on laptops (I’ve built PCs for years but refused to get a laptop) because I had to get one for playing wow while traveling. I was on a fairly tight budget and bought the one in the link below. Works great, runs at about 90 FPS on classic with mostly high settings (sunshafts and such disabled). I found one on eBay new for $800 and pulled trigger. The 1660Ti is enough to get through classic with relative ease and they aren’t gouging you for a 2060 or 3060 which is the same or worse for classic and you’ll never ray trace or use any of its expensive features. Cheers, good luck.

Just look at what's being offered in the same price segment.

There's a 1660TI in there. Given current GPU prices, you can easily discount this laptop to be 900$ normal times.
It's a different segment, I understand. But that's hardware without margins. The cheapest mac with a dGPU goes for 2500$
In general, I wouldn't buy a used 1.5 year old gaming laptop for such a small discount. Gaming laptops like the Y540 are not built to last, they run hot and components can fail over time especially if the prior person was really pushing the temps. And, if it's out of warranty, that's a very hard no. If the motherboard develops a problem it could easily be $400-500+ to replace it. Anyways, the new price for that laptop in the US is $1029, so you're not saving much: https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Legion-Gaming-Laptop-i7-9750H/dp/B08739LDJY

In that case you could get this used like new for $820
for $650
One decent option to consider is a Lenovo Y540. It's not the cleanest aesthetic but it avoids the colorful accents that are on most gaming laptops. The specs would work well for you though with a GTX 1660Ti processor, H-Series i7 processor and a 144Hz display. It's also of moderate weight at 4.85 lbs, but has a short battery lasting around 3 hours.
Another option a bit above your price range is the Eluktronics RP-15 or Razer Blade 15. Both are relatively sleek and powerful with specs comparable to the Y540 (and a few build-quality or battery advantages).
