I personally use the alfa nha, and i love it! The antennae is supposed to be covering a bigger distance. How big?? Idont know haha.
As far as laptops, if you can get a desktop..that would be best imo. They're cheaper and i'm all about saving money haha. But you can check this out!

Neither of these laptops are meant for even a little gaming. The first one has integrated Intel graphics, and the second is the lowest possible nvidia graphics you can get.

Try something like the lenovo y50. It is a good little gaming laptop for the same price. It will play all modern games at 1080p with mostly high settings. Its quite thin for a gaming laptop and only 2.4 lbs, so pretty dang light for one as well.
