It's not the best. I'm looking to replace a dimmer in my dining room, I think I may go either the Leviton style or the GE touch sensitive dimmers.
Looks pretty good, I don't know if I need the functionality of multi tap. The other switches in the box go to outlets on either side of the bed, and a ceiling fan which from my understanding cannot be connected to these switches. So, without the need for multi tap, is the $10 price premium over the leviton worth it?
Woot had these a couple weeks ago, I bought 10 of the switches and they seem fine. From what I hear this style of dimmer is hard to use and kind of garbage. Is it worth the savings vs these? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N4F487U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_hWDHzbVT7JG5Q
The description on Amazon says:
>In addition to universal lighting support, the DZ6HD features two-way feedback, is scene capable, and is Z-Wave Plus certified, ensuring the latest technology, increased communication range, network wide inclusion, and over the air updates.
That sounds like status updates to me.
Were your tester devices on/off switches or dimmers? On/offs will often have a loud click, which is the relay inside and can't really be avoided. Dimmers function differently and won't have the audible click.
Nothing is going to be an exact match aesthetically.
Homeseer might be the closest: https://shop.homeseer.com/collections/z-wave-dimmers-switches/products/homeseer-hs-wd100-z-wave-plus-scene-capable-smart-dimmer
Another more different, but great option is Leviton (this is what I have in my home): https://www.amazon.com/Leviton-DZ6HD-1BZ-Technology-Repeater-Extender/dp/B01N4F487U
Personally, I would take the time to just upgrade everything to something new. The problem is, like you said, there are product shortages and finding anything in stock is going to be difficult.
I went the ZWave path for all of my switches. I have a fairly large house so the every node is a repeater feature works pretty well for me. I replaced all of the lighting switches in the house with a Leviton DZ6HD. The motor loads like fans are Leviton-DZ15S. This has worked pretty well for me so far. I'm not going to lie, I did a few of these switches myself, then brought in a team of electricians to replace all the others. I have 100 ZWave devices and if I had to guess I would say that 60 - 70 of them are these devices.
I've had pretty good success with these and Home Assistant https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N4F487U but it's Zwave
Leviton DZ6HD-1BZ Decora Smart 600W Dimmer with Z-Wave Technology, Ivory, 1-Pack, White/Light Almond https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N4F487U/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_PV0C74X20ASM9K2NF5M8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
sorry I totally messed that up, its lutron, I had ge on other switches
We had issues with dimming LED cans, most smart dimmers had flicker or didn't go low enough. Finally found the leviton DZY1HD
Dims to almost nothing and no flicker!
Anything Zwave will work with a radio. I got two (more) of these dimmers

The sale at Home Depot right now is really good for them. I used camelcamelcamel and just waited for a price drop on Amazon to buy them all at once. They seem to fluctuate in price quite often.
