I've had a good experience with levoit brand. I have this one, but i can't imagine the lower priced ones by them would be much different. I haven't noticed any kind of condensation or wet surfaces.
He's 10 months and still gets sick about every other week. We have a foam bag chair in our living room that he tends to wipe his nose on, so we now call it booger mountain, lol. The hardest part when they are sick is getting them to eat and drink, but as long as they are getting some, don't stress too much about the decreased intake. Also, a cool mist humidifier works wonders at night (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FHZTYJB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_dl_FFQ3QPV9NC7SSHF4J67N)
I have all my plants in a big room and an open floor plan. I wanted one that would do well with big rooms. I went with this one.
I'm very satisfied. It can't really humidify the whole area but I doubt any could. This one has a lot of versatility though. Hot and cold mist, you can set the humidity level you want and it shuts off as needed. Plus it holds like 1.5 gallons.
Also came to guess humidity. The edges get crispy when that's the issue.
I just bought this humidifier and it made mine feel infinitely better.
If you can't get one though you can keep a tray of standing water beside it. That will help some. You can also try to cover it with clear glass or plastic if that's feasible.
