I really like this brand. We have two of their Core 300 air purifiers & they’re work horses. The humidifier is nice Bc it’s top fill & the main part is dishwasher safe. (Plus the smart tech allows me to set a schedule & the display light turns off)
Update I found one It's got a lot of nice settings to control the humidity with home automation! Easy basic code setups that anyone can do

Also new mom here, however, I myself am sickly so lots of stuff I apply that way. You’ve gotten good feedback on fever & on assessment break down.
Cough/congestion is probably my biggest flag to take action, due to some health factors for them & myself. I monitor for fever but it’s yet to be serious.
•Vapor Clip {I cannot tell you how much I love these}
•Eucalyptus Essential Oil. This goes in the humidifier or sometimes I’ll put it on the clip refills
•J&J Bath (green one) &/or the Boogy bath bombs
•saline drops/spray
•Teething tablets. Usually my first line of defense before Tylenol actually, for discomfort (not for fever).
My nervous purchase is an Oximeter
Keep in mind that congestion can be broken up with cold or heat. So I have the cool mist humidifier but also, we’ll walk later in the evening to get cool air exposure {some other cultures straight up leave their kid sitting outside lol so it’s all good}. & we alternate that with bringing them into the bathroom while one of us showers to get the hot steam / their own warm vapor filled bath. I. Do. Not. Use. a warm humidifier
I have a nose frida, and an electric sucker. I feel kinda meh about them both. They are very situational- sometimes they’re great sometimes not so much
I know someone mentioned COVID testing I agree but also I have access to tests at work, so when mine were gunky I tested myself daily.
Right is an Ultrasonic Humidifier, Wifi controlled to ensure consistent humidity. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093BTKL9S?
Left is an air Purifier with a HEPA air filter with UV Light inside. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JM7M8W9?
Spend the extra money on a humidifier with a humidistat that you can set the RH to. You’re going to inevitably upgrade anyway, so might as well get it from the start.
