Wow. This falls directly inline with my interests.
A couple questions:
I'm really tired of seeing the expedition dressed in coonskin caps. How are you depicting the members of the Corps of Discovery, and what resources have you used to ensure historical accuracy?
As far as I know, Robert Moore's book, Tailor Made, Trail Worn is widely regarded as one of the best sources of information regarding the clothing and equipment of the Corps of Discovery. Have you used it? If not, can you identify any resources you've drawn from?
I love that idea for an impression! I'm reminded of the "Tailor Made" L&C book that has a lot of gear details in it. They had a lot of clever little devices, but were still fundamentally stuck in the middle ages with much of the technology. Dip pens and gall ink for example. It made for a serious challenge on expeditions. https://www.amazon.com/Lewis-Clark-Clothing-Weapons-Discovery/dp/1560372389
