Welp, I'm gay. Here's a LPT: spend $10-15 for license plate screws that need an arcane tool to install/remove them. That most people use two large Phillips screws that take 3-5 seconds/screw to remove is a leftover anachronism from when plate theft wasn't a thing.

In France, your plates are riveted to the car.

I bought this which accommodates the metric screws in the back and North American screws in the front (it's a kit). For the front, the kit included screws which fit this front license plate bracket.
