Again, my two cents: 1080p on 27"... eh. There have been better deals on 1440p monitors.
If you're going to get a 27" 1080p panel, you can get an LG 27GL650F for $320 which is a significantly better monitor:
Personally i like Lgs ultra gear monitors
This ones ips, 1080p 144hz and is actually $100 off
If you can extend your budget by 4-5k this LG Monitor is available for 19.5k. It has everything you might need. Plus it's a bonus that it comes with a 144hz refresh rate panel.

I was going to purchase this monitor before I settled on a dell 23 inch one with the same specs. It’s 100 dollars off. Not curved but three screens of these will definitely be under $1,000
I like my LG 27GL650F-B 27, which is right on the edge of your budget. It's a good balance of high responsiveness while also having good picture quality and brightness.
On the negative side, this came with a "1ms motion blur reduction" which reviewers said caused smearing. I actually just turned that feature off, and it still looks great to me at "faster" response time. So if you're very sensitive to motion blur you may need to reduce the responsiveness making this monitor a little less attractive, but for me I know software motion screws with my eyes but I don't have any issues with swinging the camera around at 144 hz on this thing.
You didn't say, but inputs are Display Port and HDMI only. The built-in stand does rotate 90°, which I use it myself when playing vertical shmups.
Im avg player, but love playing. I have a 2019 C OLDED 65 inch tv. Love the picture and playing other games on it (madden). But for the life of me i had a hard time catching up to the fastball consistently.
I decided to get a good monitor since i was buying a whole new computer. I go this monitor back in Oct 2020 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R7636MH/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o05\_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
Its been a big difference for me. I still suck, but every time i switch back to OLED tv im so off swinging the bat.

Im just saying if your monitor isnt a decent one then maybe a tv might be better try. But i find i cant hit at all using a tv and i have a very good tv
If you have 10 series nvidia graphic card I would suggest this.
I've been using this over a year works like a charm. 1080p, Display port compatible, supports gsync. Has height adjustment feature as you want and can use it in perpendicular orientation.
Damn I was searching for someone to share this with so I ordered a 27" ips FHD monitor (ultragear 650f) and they have an offer going on now. 21k for the monitor with free logitech G213 keyboard)

That will still work for you and it should give you the same preformance as g sync from what I understand.
If not I would recommend this one but is 27in I am having hard time finding HDR10 and g sync on a 24 in.

Most likely 240hz is out of your budget.
Something like this would probably work well for your needs, statistically any monitor you buy has a chance of failure, even the most high end. But I’ve had excellent luck with LG monitors. They look sleek and perform well.

I just bought this monitor
I plugged it into my laptop via the HDMI cable and port on my laptop.... my windows 10 laptop (HP) identifies the second monitor under advanced display properties. But when I click "detect" or "identify" on normal display page under settings, theres nothing else there. The LG monitor in question is a black screen currently and says something is in its HDMI port 1.
What am I doing wrong?

Finally I dediced to buy this one: LG 27GL650F-B 27. Just letting you know since you helped me a lot.
I had a relatively low budget of $250 USD and wanted a second monitor that could outperform my old Samsung S27A750D (27" 1080p 120hz TN). So I settled on a LG 27GL650F-B (27" 1080p 144hz IPS Freesync).
I am not disappointed with the price to performance ratio. It has all the perks of an IPS, even if the HDR10 support doesn't look the greatest. I do think that I should have either gone 24" 1080p or 27" 1440p, but I was trying to keep a budget while looking at what I desire in a dual monitor setup (same screen size).

Nothing comes close
It’s been $250 on Amazon for the newer model for a while now. I think LG 27GL650 is the same model with hdr (useless). But it’s $249 same price at Amazon. Also 1080p. Only good if your gpu just can’t handle 1440p and you’re set on 27”. Will look good in some games, blurry in others.

Just to give some more 1080p on 27” feedback: Apex Legends: Beautiful
Fortnite: Blurry far distance, as if TSAA is disabled but it’s not
Rust: Unplayable, all detail was sketchy. Textures were hard to see. Rust is a beautiful, but low FPS game on correct resolution. When it was stretched to 1080p on 27” it was really really bad.

Thanks.
Benq has quite positive reviews so added it to cart.
LG Ultragear 27 - Tempted to buy this one but it is out of my budget. I don't need 144Hz but HDR and height adjustment are great features.
Guys I need a good 27+ inch monitor for the PS4 within as much budget as possible. I know a decent one would suffice for the PS but I play MLB The Show a lot so I need something with good refresh rate and low response time (to catch fast balls) and my TV isn't cutting it.
I'm thinking of this but would this be overkill for the PS4?
Any other suggestions welcome. Thanks.
1920x1080 and I'm playing the video in 1080p. I'm talking about the watermark in the bottom right corner of the video. It's not a garbage monitor either, it's fairly middle tier. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R7636MH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

gonna wait until more prevalent HDMI 2.1 monitors are here to eventually upgrade to a 1400p that can get 144hz over HDMI

Need help with a monitor selection to pair with my new AMD rig. Build centers around 3600x cpu and 5700xt card
Looking for: - 1440p gaming or 1080p gaming (is it a big difference up from 1080P gaming? worth the price difference? I'm new to the PC gaming market so unsure of what i should be looking for in this scenario) - 27" preferably - great picture quality

For work I recommend a monitor that's IPS and 20-inch to 27-inch. Relatively decent colors do fine.
This setup works best for reducing eye strain in my opinion. Atleast half a decade+ of programming has taught me that.
Personally the best displays are OLED but they are both expensive and not in the correct size of work use. IPS is the second best as its cheap, reliable and has good viewing angles so working is never a pain. I have yet to buy a desktop-class OLED because of this reason. And most OLED TVs are just wayyy too rich for my blood.
You can go for curved or even VA if you feel like it, simple work doesn't have limits but the PITA thing is they lack flexibility or in case of VA especially they have annoying ghosting, not just games just using docs/text-editors they can be quite annoying. I recommend a LG 24/27 inch IPS monitor with a good stand. It games ok, it is brilliant for work, you can use it in portrait for long coding or writing or even reading sessions.
I have read dozens of research papers weekly a couple months straight and I really hated not having a portrait arrangement for my monitors, side-by-side is fine but they text size get's compromised.
With VA, using VIM/Emacs and flicking between panes/tabs/windows can be painful, because of the blur and ghosting. Gives me a headache but IPS panels have never had that.
As for resolution 1440p is the best, 4k is nice but pricey. 1080p if you just want to go straight down the cheap and best train. Resolution matters little but below 1080p for 24inch or more will feel really bad. So avoid it.
If you really want nice gaming seems like the best middle ground of sorts, slightly big but should do the job.(Should be within your budget, at the time of me writing it, it's ~20,000 INR)
https://www.amazon.in/LG-Ultragear-Compatible-Monitor-Display/dp/B07R7636MH
There are couple others that come with a decent stand or you can get one slightly cheaper and jump on a vesa stand of some sort, though I recommend avoiding the Amazon basics stand and other similar ones they are not worth buying IMHO. Spending more on a good stand is worth it as it generally a long term investment.
If you want to go crazy on someone's advice, LG also has an Ergo Monitor line which is relatively expensive but the features are really decent.

Unfortunately, right now is probably the worst time to buy a PC in recent history. There's a huge demand for graphics cards due to a cryptocurrency boom, and a low supply due to silicon shortages.
That being said, I might recommend an Alienware Aurora R10. The link above should be the standard model with upgraded RAM and a significantly better video card. It comes with a keyboard and mouse, but they're not very good. It'll give your son the opportunity to save a little money and upgrade those two.

To be honest, The LG 27GL650F-B has a Full HD Ultragear G-Sync which is Compatible with Gaming, giving a great experience.
BUT
The Dell Monitor has Truly Immersive Gameplay, with remarkably vivid visuals that draw you deeper in the game. The 1500R curved screen enhances field of vision and reduces distortion, glare and reflection to create a truly immersive gaming experience.
I would go with the Dell Monitor.

That’s my setup. I used to game on my 4K LG tv but noticed screen lag while playing Gears 5. It was only a 60hz tv.
I bought a 27” LG 1ms 1080p 144hzmonitor and that’s what I play on now. No screen lag. I love it. The keyboard is only there for typing. One day I’d like to try out keyboard+mouse just to see what it’s like.

Yes Tforce is good.
By the way pls buy from MD computers, Prime ABGB and Vedant computers unless you are getting them without paying customs. Newegg India sucks. Also go 2070 super save money and buy 2k monitor. Its waste if you can't see the fps. 2080s is overkill. If going 2080s pls buy 2k monitor or else wasting money.
Best buy 2070s and 2k monitor.
HDR is basically emulated in most of them?

The PC is upgradable has 2 slots for RAM, and has one 8 GB 2666hz module installed. has 1 2.5 and 1 3.5 empty bay.
CPU was hitting 3.9 GHz in so performance was very close to FULL atx builds from benchmarks that I've seen.

The small form factor was really impressive as potability was on mind,
Overclocking is not possible as it's locked CPU and MOBO.
The case is factory sealed so the upgrade needs help from the MSI service center that's a bummer.
Overall very happy with this, will recommend this to anyone who wants a small portal gaming powerhouse.

LG 27GL650F-B | MSI Optix G271 | Asus VG279Q |

Some things to note:
Any and all help is appreciated as I'm finding it difficult to make a decision which one of these would suit me best and will be the better investment until I'm able to upgrade my PC for 1440p gaming at a later time.
Is this a good monitor for 2k 144hz at 25k Budget to pair with a 3080. https://www.amazon.in/LG-Ultragear-Compatible-Monitor-Display/dp/B07R7636MH/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=G27QC&qid=1600664645&sr=8-2
After my research I found multiple monitors which can work - basically you need to connect to mini-DP to DP to get 144hz and g-sync capabilities enabled and over HDMI 1.4 or higher you can achieve 144hz.
This will be a good monitor to consider for your purchase - https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B07R7636MH/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A14CZOWI0VEHLG&psc=1

Once I have enough saving will go for the first one mostly or last once. You might need to buy mini-DP to DP/HDMI cable separately as most of them do not provide this

This is the FreeSync variant. It is 1080p though.

First off: don't spec out your PC on Amazon. Prices are notoriously higher. Always go for mdcomputers or primeabgb. If you're buying the parts locally, cost to cost's pricelist would be a great point of reference. Your price should be within 10% of theirs. (Google "cost to cost price list" and you should see the first link)
Second: the quality achieved with a PC build can never be matched with a laptop: screen size, display quality, overclocking, boost sustainability, thermals, longevity, upgradability and usage flexibility.
Third: you would not need an additional cooler for 3600 if you're not planning to overclock too much.

A suggested build would be:

The total would be around 1.15L, but if this too much for you, start cutting down the components - substituting a USB network adapter, cutting down on storage, bumping down the processor to r5-3500, getting a cheaper monitor etc in the same order.

Goes without saying that this would absolutely crush any laptop in the same price range.
Don't En Passant these deals.

Couple of $$$ over 300: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07R7636MH/ LG 27GL650F. Couple of threads about it on here: https://www.reddit.com/r/bapcsalescanada/comments/cmy8ng/monitor_27_ips_1080p_144hz_lg_gl650f_32062_30_off/
I just picked up the LG 27GL650F-B off Amazon for $300, 27" 1080p/144hz IPS so far no complaints, IPS and 144hz looks great.
Decent price on that monitor you linked, but nothing special considering it's VA and there was a 1440p/144hz TN monitor for I think~$350 yesterday. You can find 1080p/144hz TN or VA's starting around $200 though they're mostly 24" models
Don't make a Rook*ie mistake, check the prices.

Buy this. Its really good.
I bought this two months back - LG Ultragear 27-inch IPS FHD for 22k.
I do professional freelance video editing and have a programming job. I am very happy with this panel. 1080p gaming at 27" is generally not recommended, but I did not find any pixelation issues in the panel. The gaming experience has been excellent. The colours are decently accurate for video editing and there are not many IPS options available under 25k.
The other option you have is MSI G241 but I did not find a lot of reviews for it. So I went with LG.
